The cause of freedom is dear to us all and freedom constitutes the sum and substance of all that we labour for in our terrestrial incarnation, enmeshed as we are in the web of words, in the maze of Maya, in cosmic nescience. Life unfolds here on earth with an evolutionary principle backing it up and gearing it on towards its highest fruition in the experience of the oneness of all existence. In a like manner your page, dear friends, has evolved from its initial fold of the propagation of pure spiritual thought to its wider domain of dissemination of all that comes within the ambit of the liberation of the spirit of man from its terrestrial shackles. And in this journey, my friends, you have been my inspiration, my collaborators in spreading the message of the Spirit, the universal symphony that is the substance of the Vedas, the vast concord that is the essence of the Sanatan Dharma which remains as ever the rationale of life here and the life beyond.
A corollary of the quest for spiritual freedom has meandered your page into the terrain of the freedom movement of India. And it is a rightful cause to serve, I believe, for only in the practical application of the Vedantic philosophy of freedom of the soul of man may its theoretical propositions be concretely validated in the thoroughfare of life. The martyrs and the saints have here got wedded in a bond of patriotic fervour that includes national life but far transcends its narrow bounds to embrace the vast world of humanity, nay, even more, the vaster world of all of sentience. For it is this universality of the message of man that is the focal point of our deliberations here on this page and is the very life-blood of its continued content.
A word of thankfulness to strangers we give, a word of gratitude proceeds from a distancing of those who ought to be kindred spirits. I shall, therefore, offer neither but will dedicate my future efforts at your sustained service to quicken you into thinking that which conduces to your good and the good of all. I mean all and not a section of humanity for the very word 'humanity' is all-inclusive in its import. And with this I dedicate this page to the nation, our beloved Bharatbhumi, our motherland about whom sages have sung, 'janani janmabhumischa swargadapi gariyasi'.
