Devotees of Netaji must remember that he was a person inclined as much to spirituality as to politics, the latter being an extension of his spiritual propensity to serve humanity. Striving to free the nation from bondage was his way of interpreting his spiritual master's message and his way of executing it. 'Freedom, freedom is the song of the soul' was the clarion call given by Swamiji. Netaji had said that by freedom Swamiji must have also meant freedom from the shackles of colonialism and bondage to the British.
Now here is a thing to remember. No great work on earth is achievable without cultivation of character and the bedrock of character is purity born of essential spirituality. Mere clamouring in the name of Netaji hardly does justice to the hero in any way. What is needed is constructive work and what better work there can be in the wide world than to build one's own character for the furtherance of the cause that Netaji stood for all his life.
Those that will be the rightful representatives of Netaji will absorb the spiritual principles that guided Netaji's life and emerge triumphant souls in the heroic mould ready to take on the entire universe in opposition, if need be, for the victory of righteousness and truth. Jai Hind!
