WHEN PICTURE HAS REPLACED THE PERSON WHATEVER ONE MAY SAY

While adulation and excitement over trivialities abound about a man lost to us beyond possible rescue from the oblivion he has been cast into, one does not have any clue as to how many are truly bothered about his fate though. Sad it is to reflect on the fact that flesh and form get reduced to painting and picture for the amusement of future generations while the person remains lost to memory and his message buried under the debris of human superficiality. Genuine research is necessary as to his whereabouts post August 18, 1945 and sufficient interest must be kindled in the right direction to facilitate the resolving of this abiding mystery which has mystified generations. It will be fitting to see a great many becoming more serious about this issue and taking the rightful steps towards settling the dust on this persistent puzzle.
With despondency at the frothy interest exhibited by the multitude on Netaji in absentia and genuine concern at this manifest unconcern about tracing his whereabouts, post his sudden disappearance, beyond quickening nervous excitement akin to that excited by childhood fantasies, fantastic tales and mystery motions,
I remain, nonetheless, yet hopeful of a reversal in this popular trend,
Ever yours in Netaji,
Sugata Bose
