ALAS, SWAMIJI!

ALAS, SWAMIJI!

Vivekananda has hardly a masculine follower today. Cowardice abounds in his name, compromised ones making a sham of his valorous philosophy, his robust action plans, his proposed aggressive missionary work.

Followers of Vivekananda can scarce afford to be cooped-up cowards not daring the deep, comfort-seekers avoiding the defence of persecuted Hindus in the severed sections of our ancient motherland.

Mere sweet talk maketh not spirituality but headlong battle with the forces of evil doeth so. Everything that Swamiji detested in terms of effeminacy and cowardice has come to afflict so many of his followers that the mission of defending the Hindus has become the lot of the very ones who suffer persecution. Indeed, Swamiji's mission has largely failed, a fate he had increasingly apprehended in his final months on earth. The seer's vision unfailingly foretold the failed fate of his earthly mission.
