SETTING PERSPECTIVES RIGHT --- ABHISHEK KUMAR JHA, SANITY PERSONIFIED, SPLENDOUR OF THE SOUL

As ever, indebted to you, Abhishek Kumar Jha, for this invaluable piece of relevant data at the right time. May Thakur bless you and inspire you to render such selfless service as befits his true devotee! Clarification of air, you say, merely? No, it is clarification of conception, the setting aright of historical understanding, presentation proper of pertinent perspectives and a rightful warning to any such self-indulgent initiate who may be inadvertently or insistently inclined to engaging in invidious accusation against such a sublime spiritual organisation as the Ramakrishna Mission, basing arguments on fractional apprehension of the rational process involved thereby.

The Mission stands on the real rock of Vivekananda set up by the Master himself at Kashipur in 1886, and the subsequent memorial built in his name is the historical echo of this original founding. Glory unto those that took the initiative to bring to fruition this noble venture and glory unto the Master and his leonine protege that they were there ever with these souls suffused with the supreme spirit of service and sacrifice!

When acrimonious debates degenerate to lend substance to noxious egotism, it defeats the very purpose of democratic discourse. Then civility takes to flight as rancour replaces reason to dish out deliberate diatribes and fabricated falsities, although, oftentimes such incidences are the inadvertent irreverence consequent upon the fast flow of verbal delusions clouding judgement rather than any intrinsic ill will harboured against one's real or imagined adversary that seeks expression in one's unguarded moment. And it is here that you step in, O merciful moderator of the motion, when murkiness mars meaning and diatribe distorts dialogue, with your researched findings to fix the fissure with the finality of a seasoned historian.

The Rock Temple remains the emblem of resurgent India envisioned during those lonely hours by the solitary soul in the midst of turbulent tides and the Mission remains the eternal rock on which the Master raises the edifice of his memorial monument to man, sounding the vesper bells to recall his flock, his twilit selves, unto the nest where all is one and all is bliss and all is peace that passeth understanding. May such a light diffuse through the corridors of your soul too, Abhishek Kumar Jha, and suffuse your writings with superior sameness whence springs sublimity to shower as spiritual grace on humankind! Be a rock unto the Mission in service and sacrifice, but lean, if ever, upon the rock of thy own self, the Self that is, for all else is not. Jai Ramakrishna-Vivekananda! Jai Hind!
