THE WAY WE REACT

THE WAY WE REACT

Our attitudes are formed so often by our state of health, by our vigour of constitution or absence of it, by our lifestyle, our daily discipline or its utter absence, by the data input that bombard our brain and fashion our responses to the pressing issues that confront us, by our environment and our heritage, our genetic make-up and stored-up past tendencies stemming from previous births. All these are contributory factors, but often a magnetic personality comes our way and with his undeniable charisma sweeps us into his thought-field where we absorb and assimilate ideas that quicken us into an altered response to the challenges of the times. It is then that movements begin and we are caught in its maelstrom. These complex interactions constantly feed into us and fashion our beings and draw out of us our executive output in the form of a stream of responses which we call life. Are we truly free then to determine the course of our lives? Never quite, for life itself is a web of interactions between related beings who form the lattice of the social structure.
