FREEDOM ON THE HORIZON [EDITED]
When a religious movement begins in violence, it continues in violence as well and eventually ends in violence. Unfortunately for non-observers of such a religion, this violence by 'divine decree' also extends to them and hundreds of millions lose their lives while the dance of death continues through the ages in the name of holy war and conversion of the infidel. Add to it geopolitics and you have the complete picture of violence and counter-violence which remains the despair of civilisations. Man ought no more to subscribe to these archaic manifestations of religiosity and must move on with a scientific temper to progress towards a higher living. Assimilation of the best of all cultures and eschewing of all that is worst in them, surely, is the way ahead and will usher in a new age of peace and enlightenment on earth. It is for progressive and liberal-minded sincere people, and not merely apologists for retrograde and regressive thinking, to take the step towards future advancement of human culture, and they must be devoid of selfish nationalistic or ideological motivations and must be inspired only by the thought of the general good of humanity.
Man is not merely the carrier of tradition, however regressive be such baggage and its vile hold on him, but is also the path-breaker, the innovator, the liberator from the captivity of tradition. Age-old senseless tribal bindings on a vast multitude that has retarded reason and circumscribed civilisation must now be sundered and a new-age ethical system evolved based on all that is sublime in human history and all that appeals to the aesthetics and sense of natural justice of the modern man. Gone are the days of segmented politics when disconnectedness owing to lack of geographical integration of the world caused localisation of culture and its concomitant exclusiveness in the realm of ideas. Such barriers in the path of the free flow of knowledge led to exclusive cultural developments in one part of the world and total ignorance about like developments in other parts. This led to supremacist tendencies and the impulse to imposition of one's own cultural variant on all other races having a different idea of truth and culture. Fanaticism, thus, was engendered in geographical isolation of races as much as by insufficient evolution of the universal idea. This was the seed of forcible conversion to one's own fold, a primitive tribal idea where the wider vision had not yet opened up and ancient barbarism coupled with fanatical attachment to a narrow ideal to set the stage for political perfidy in the name of a God as vicious as His villainous worshippers.
But their day is gone. The Enlightenment has snatched Europe away from theocratic absolutism and ushered in the epoch of reason and liberalism. Where the Middle East and its siblings across the globe still hold on to theocracies, man suffers from medieval monstrosities. A resurgence is likely, for disgruntled humanity cannot be suppressed for long, especially, in modern times when access to information about the free world will inevitably weaken the hold of tyrannical regimes on subjugated masses. Moreover, in a globalised world to stay cocooned in one's own corner, harbouring horrendous historical heresies as humanity's imperatives, for they carry the burden of archaic articulations of faith, is to invoke self-inflicted 'martyrdom' in one's noxious cause of outright obliteration of others' rights. Such an agenda will never succeed given the level of literacy and intellectual enlightenment the major part of the world has already attained. It is a lost cause for a religion that seeks political domination by perfidious means and the sooner reformation alters its moribund ways, the better its chances of a reformed survival. Else, death which it decrees on infidels will be its own lot for stagnation inevitably leads to annihilation.
All cultures have their redeeming elements whereby they gain a footing into the changing contours of a dynamic world and so must Muslims worldwide seek to do with their own inheritance. There is much that is abhorrent in the legacy of loot and conquest that they have to account for to bring about a semblance of sanity into their present predicament but there is equally a lot to cheer about in their heritage of science and technology which had built the edifice of their famed civilisation stretching from the Sahara to Spain. It is misplaced emphasis on dogma and denunciation that has ruined Islamic culture and only a reaffirmation of the vital points that had led to its erstwhile rise as a civilisation that can resurrect it once more. So long as man remains the centrepiece of the human drama, nothing can permanently prevent the progress of civilisation. It moves on with its own momentum forged out of the circumstances that engineer it.
Impetus and impediment both work out their respective roles in advancing or retarding human evolution. Accordingly, civilisation proceeds along an undulated terrain, going up and down in phases. Materialism and spiritualism in inverse relation work on the collective mind of man. Thus, the rise of materialism lowers the spiritual consciousness of man and the rise of spirituality reduces his materialistic tendencies. An optimal proportion of the twain is conducive for human welfare and the various forces at work in the world resolve out karma to leave the residuum of their action as imprints on human civilisation fashioning and refashioning it. Movements arise out of historical necessities and the demands of evolution, and movements wane likewise. There is an energy to it all that determines the course of things and when the last ounce of input work has been spent, death seizes the movement despite desperate attempts to resuscitate it. Such is the state of fanatical ideologies in this age of science and reason. Despite frenetic fanning up of fratricidal violence --- for all of humanity in enlightened vision is but a single family (vasudhaiva kutumbakam) ---, fanatical faiths are in their death throes which they mistake to be martyrdom but which in essence is their obliteration from the face of this beautiful earth they have marred for far too long, sinking in civilisation and the possibilities of man to rise beyond what prophecy decrees.
We stand on the crossroads of a new beginning with infinite possibilities opening up before the enlightened vision. No God, no Prophet this time will come in the way of the awakened future man, no faith thrust upon the human soul shall retard its progress to freedom. We stand on the edge of a boundless sea of inquiry and investigation, both external and internal, and we remain free to accept or reject our findings in the light of reason and realisation but never again on the basis of arbitrary assumptions or autocratic assertions which stunt the soul of man. If faith there must be, let faith be in the spirit of man to challenge the delusion that is Nature. Let man arise at last from his bondage to God, Prophet, Messiah and brother man, and let him take his fate finally in his own hands and, so, fashion his destiny as he will, no more governed by a malevolent God, no more subject to divine decree of dubious origin, but a free man with the freedom to choose and to reject what his conscience decrees, what his consciousness ordains.

Western culture is being disrupted by Islamic infiltration. With demographic change disruption will turn to destruction and the imposition of the Sharia that will shatter civilisation and bring in all of medieval monstrosity in its wake. The West must wake up or die.
A like fate Swamiji had envisaged for India when he wrote his piece 'Shall India die?...' Who knows what awaits us, Hindus, who have thus far survived the slaughter of Islam with 80 million of Hindu deaths at a moderate estimate over nearly 1400 years of onslaught, invasion and occupation? Will we with decreasing birth rate and proliferating Muslim births survive as a civilisation? Swamiji thought that we would with the future India becoming the synthesis of 'Vedanta brain and Islam body'. Difficult to understand what he meant by this.
1. Vedanta brain---does this mean that Islam as theology will disappear and the Vedanta will be ideologically paramount in future India?
2. Islam body---does this mean that the whole of India in due course will become Muslim and yet Muslims will practice the Vedanta? What sort of an oxymoron would that be?
3. Or, does it mean that India will be an integrated whole with Vedanta harmonising sects and faiths across the board? Is that possible, given Islam's scriptural strictures?

Indeed it is a shame that such shallowness one can exhibit as you regrettably have here done. Alter stance. Rectify and reform. Your name is Arghya. Now offer this arghya at Swamiji's feet and seek forgiveness of him that you will never again indulge in such shallow irreverence. Also, you are a Basu. So, live upto the valorous tradition of the Vasus, Gangāputra et al, and manifest the manhood that characterised them, that manhood which they have bequeathed unto you in your genes, your sanskārs and in your bloodstream flowing like the Gangā from her mountain habitat unto the plains and the sea, fertilising life and making what we know as our sacred civilisation. 🕉

Sugata Bose @ঐশী রায় চৌধুরী : There is nothing called 'Islamist'. It is all Islam and Islamic. This word 'Islamism' and its derivative 'Islamist' are euphemisms used to avoid hurting the sensibilities and sensitivities of the bulk of the Muslims and attempting to sift the true practioners of Islam, the jihadis, from what Gad Saad calls the 'cafeteria Muslims' who are part observers of the Deen and part rejecters. Clever ploy this like many a western ploy is but in softening stand on Islam, it is proving counterproductive whose corrosive consequences are everyday in evidence across the western world, Bondi Beach in latest count among the 48,000 plus terror attacks since 9/11 in nearly 70 countries globally proving the point. Islam is a radical political ideology, by no means a religion which is but its facade, that aims at world domination. It is Arab imperialism of medieval times, now fast forwarded to modern times, and must be dealt with as such. When Churchill warned about Nazism, no one heeded him. The result was the Second Word War. If some such catastrophic consequence is to be averted, it is high time to call Islam by its name instead of ascribing Western names to an Arab ideology without seeking permission from Allah. 🕉

Swami Nirmalananda (Tulsi Maharaj) was the 17th which Belur Math does not include anymore in their published list but which very well featured in the early years of the Ramakrishna Movement when Thakur's direct disciples were alive. This continued till the early 1960s when a sudden change of stance took place and Swami Nirmalananda's photographs were removed from the books published by the Ramakrishna Mission. The photographs appended above are all from the said erstwhile publications of the Ramakrishna Mission. Take note of this this and get your propaganda act right.

But his delivery of speech is utterly lacking in manliness that is the essence of resistance, especially in these trenchant times when Bangladeshi Hindus are being brutally decimated. Bhagwatji should meditate on this and make necessary adjustments. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Kashmir et al all share the same subcontinental heritage but have rejected the Hindu component of it. That is the call of conversion, the demand of the Deen. Therefore, so long as the partitioned Indian Muslims are in the minority, they may be fed this narrative, but the day through demographic change they become the majority community in India and wrest political power, that very day they will impose Islamic culture which is Arab culture on the whole of India. 🕉

Sugata Bose @Mohammad Arafat Rafi : Individual Muslims are more often than not good on account of evolutionary principles and sociological development but the jihadi doctrine they believe in is toxic and terror-inducing which leads to terrorism. And jihad is mandatory in Islam. The history of Islam since its very inception has been extremely violent and the violence continues till date. You may argue that violence is rampant across the board in the world, war vitiating human life everywhere. But there is only one faith that scripturally and openly advocates its supremacist ideology thus and calls for its absolute dominance throughout the world, refusing to peacefully coexist with other faiths without converting them to its fold or persecuting them in so many ways once the Sharia has by fraud, force and feminine productive fertility been established, as Islam. Sugata Bose @Puneet Gupta : A doctor should never be called a Diseasephobe. So must legitimate critics of Islam not be called Islamophobes. Phobia is an irrational fear. But fear of Islam, given its theological doctrine, violent history and general practice, is legitimate. Hence, not a phobia. Islamophobia was a term coined to silence criticism of Islam as the latter cannot stand up to the test of reason and will fall apart if mass rationalisation of its toxic tenets, at once scriptural and fundamental to it, is conducted.

Tens of thousands of such captured women were traded off in Arab slave markets till the surplus supply made the price fall to two dinars per Hindu woman slave. Hindu women who escaped the trade markets suffered sexual enslavement in harems. Hindu adolescent boys, forcibly castrated and converted, were kept to guard these sex slaves. 'Jiziya' or protection money was charged from Hindus in general by altering the Qur'anic code for convenience. Mass conversion, mass slaughter, mass enslavement---the trinity of torture was the Hindu's lot for centuries when every passing day allowed the Hindu bare breathing space to live another day before the sword of Islam severed his impure head from his filthy body, for the Hindu was held by the Muslim rulers as 'najis kafir', the impurest 'mushrik' adhering to 'shirk'. This has been the gory saga of the Hindus till Partition refreshed kafir-killing as observance of divine decree whose latest instance has been the murder of Dipu Chandra Das.

My two student-disciples have let me down. Would it were otherwise, how lovely life would have been! But the traffic of routine work and aspired-for puerile pastimes make a heavy call on them and keep them away. Life, if even long, is short-lived after all and passes away like a flicker, 'a candle in the wind', a la Diana whom none held as his own but who withered away, forlorn like the fallen leaf of a winter song. Spring freshens anew and the buds blossom, the flora of life fills the air with fragrance fair, but every passing year draws the veil on the shimmering past, shrouding it in memory that fades even as life rushes on towards its inevitable end. But there is a deeper life that eludes vision, a current of the Life that is everlasting, where space has vanished and time frozen to a standstill, where thoughts have gathered, coalesced and become one as Consciousness Absolute. There in solitary existence lies the Being, prostrate as Shiva while Kāli dances over Him in dynamic mode, the gunas playing their permutating, combining game in myriad minds, now broken by apparent partitions in a wondrous web magically weaved. There lies hope as yet, there lies rest. But for the surface beams, they scatter and break into insignificant particles of passing pleasure and persisting pain in this delusive dream of phenomenal life, hardly a life where death so stalks. 🕉

Jihad predates Western geopolitical dominance. It is foundational in Islam. Thus, this pretext, so often in vogue these days, cannot be the cause of Islamic terrorism. Historically jihad has been waged to establish a like geopolitical Islamic dominance. There is theological backing for it, divine commandment mandating it. It must be active, enterprising, willing jihad and not passive participation calling for the damning labelling of munafiq (hypocrite) for whom the Fire waits in the Hereafter in Jahannum. Where was the West with its geopolitical dominance of Islamic lands in the 7th and 8th centuries when Islamic jihad conquered the world? So, jihad is intrinsic to Islam and not the effect of Wesrern oppression as such, although it's current trigger in many cases is doubtlessly Western foreign policy in regard to Islamic nations. Meanwhile, jihad continues, registering at least 48,000 terrorist acts in 70 countries worldwide since September 11, 2001 when the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center were brought down.

There can be no final faith nor a final Messenger of God as God continues to appear in every Age whenever virtue subsides and vice prevails. In keeping with Krishna's prophecy in the Bhagavad Gīta, the Divine assumes human form to deliver the Eternal Message in altered terms to suit the exigencies of the times. He, the Divine, Himself appears as the Prophet of the Age, destroying the vicious and rescuing the virtuous, and reestablishing Dharma for the maintenance of the world order. This has been going on since the inception of human civilisation in India and, as prophesied, will continue to go on for ages to come. Thus, to posit that fantastic claim that Islam does of being the only true faith and the perfected last one at that, with its founder on earth being the final prophet, is untenable from the Sanātan standpoint or from any standpoint whatsoever, for the Book of Divine Revelation, like the Divine it reveals, is of unnumbered pages and cannot see such an arbitrary end as medieval misconception will have us to believe. The entire basis, the very foundation of such an extravagant claim is heresy from the standpoint of enlightened reason and the Hindu will have none of it. Tribalism creeping into religion and using religion to suit political ends or fabricating faith to induce absolute allegiance among followers in order to fulfil one's sociopolitical ambitions cannot be force fertile in an age of rapid rational advancement when inquiry and investigation is dealing sledgehammer blows against the edifice of arbitrary assumptions masquerading as religion and holding its own by slaughter of dissent. Its day is done and within the next few decades will have seen its final day on earth. No doomsday for the world but doom itself, sure enough, for the fanatical faith which will have witnessed its own demise at the hour of final expiration. Meanwhile, God's revelations continue unabated and His Messengers keep multiplying as ages pass, He Himself assuming human form in every Age to give the lie to the Abrahamic averment in its Islamic inspiration.

Live free of fear, each one you who now quake in fear on account of indoctrination since infancy of being cast into Hell by a supposed omnipotent tyrannical Being whose judgement at any rate defies the principle of commensurate punishment to crime committed. How can a merciful Master be so cruel as to cast His creatures into Hellfire for merely disbelieving in Him or for worshipping other Gods/Goddesses? How can He who is the creator of countless billions of galaxies be so little in His judgement, so insecure as to be enraged by infidelity to Him? Do we humans feel offended by passing ants for not saluting us, if you understand what I mean? So, from this day give up all fear of your easily offended Master and live in peace.

The greatest strength of the Jews is their intellect. And they regularly cultivate it by way of maintaining what Einstein calls 'a deep respect for learning'. Gad Saad, the eminent Jewish public intellectual says that in Jewish families one is not considered literate enough if he has a Master's degree. He must as base qualification have a PhD, at least one, preferably two or even three. No wonder the Jews, a minuscule population of 15.8 million worldwide out of a global population of over 8264 million, which is about 0.19% of it, have won over 22% of the Nobel Prizes awarded till date. This is simply phenomenal and must have some Darwinian natural selection principle backing it, for the Jews, persecuted and killed everywhere except India throughout history must be only the smartest ones that could outwit the forces of persecution to be surviving today and making up the current population. Besides, it may be some combination of genes in their diverse places of refuge with the local population that could have triggered a process of genetic upgradation. Finally, it must be admitted that the Jews were even originally smart enough to have founded their own faith in Judaism, written its scriptures and built their civilisation around it. So, wondrous though their scientific achievements have been, spearheaded by the likes of Albert Einstein, Niels Bohr, Wolfgang Pauli, Richard Feynman, Murray Gellmann and a host of others, there must have been valid reasons, both physiological and sociological, that made this race so exceptionally gifted intellectually. And not merely science, there are other fields as well in which the Jews have shone and continue to shine, shaping human civilisation in no uncertain terms. In fact Jewish contribution has been phenomenal in shaping human history despite the age-old attempt to wipe them out as a race, with anti-Semiticism dating back millenia from Christian persecution of them as so-called Christ-killer to Mohammedan persecution by way of divine scriptural mandate practised to perfection, to European persecution almost in every land the fleeing Jews took refuge in, to modern-day the Nazi-conducted Jewish Holocaust when 90% of European Jewry were annihilated, by the bullet and most diabolically in the gas chamber, to the latest episode of indiscriminate killing at Bondi Beach, Sydney. Hamas has obliteration of the Jewish state of Israel in its Charter. October 7, 2023 saw 1400 innocent Jews killed by Hamas, and now in Australia this latest episode. Pakistan engineered the 26/11 Mumbai Attack when a Jewish couple was killed by terrorists and baby Moshe was left orphaned. He was graciously taken in by Israel as part of the Jewish state's global effort at preservation of the Jewish race. Wish India did the same for persecuted Hindus in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, and did something tangible to rehabilitate the displaced Kashmiri Hindus! It must here be pointed out that Israel has officially acknowledged that it was only the Hindus that historically never persecuted the Jews, rather preserved and protected those who had taken refuge in India and lived on there since the days of Roman persecution when they had to flee the Roman empire. Every other race has persecuted the Jews, a fact Einstein has attributed to their thin distribution while seeking refuge in diverse destinations worldwide.
Judaism, it must be remembered, is not a proselytising religion. In fact it inhibits conversion to its fold, such has been its practice. Thus, despite being the most ancient of the three Abrahamic religions, the Jews even after 3800 years of community life are only 15 million in number. Compare it to almost 2000 million Muslims and 2500 million Christians. The Jews are thus soft targets and continue to suffer deaths at the hands of dastardly enemies on a regular basis. Were it not for the United States of America which sheltered the bulk of Nazi-persecuted German Jews in the 1930s which in turn catapulted USA to becoming the prime power in the world, the Jews of Israel would not have existed today, such anti-Semitic venom abounds amongst the Islamic neighbours of the tiny flourishing Jewish state. It seems all others are jealous of the brains of the Jews and cannot but resolve to root them out of terrestrial existence. Alas, what barbarism persists in scripture that prompts indoctrinated individuals to carry out such dastardly attacks on innocent Jews gathered to initiate the Hanukkah, and snuff out 15 lives!

Truthfulness is the first virtue of spiritual life. There is no place for Al Taqaiyya in Hinduism as in Islam. This makes Hinduism superior to Islam where lying is legitimate to further the cause of the Deen. In Hinduism lying is not allowed under any pretext. The cause of the Dharma is furthered only by absolute allegiance to truth and never by lying, although instances such as the Kurukshetra lie of Yudhishthhira in 'Ashvatthamā hata iti gaja' does occur as the rare aberration in war but never so by way of scriptural sanction, a lapse which he had to pay for by a brief visit to hell. Such an exception does uphold the general principle, though, that Hinduism does not condone lying in any way unlike Islam which scripturally allows it as fully legitimate in the cause of furtherance of the Deen.

আধ্যাত্মিক পুরুষ অথচ কঠিন সত্য বলার সৎসাহস নেই ? দেশের শত্রুর বিরুদ্ধে রুখে দাঁড়ানো ত' দূরের কথা, উপরন্তু তার দুষ্ট ধর্মীয় তত্ত্বকে প্রশ্রয় দেওয়া পরোক্ষভাবে তাকে বারংবার সত্য বলে ঘোষণা করে ? এ কেমন দেশপ্রেম ? এ কেমন ভগবদ্বুদ্ধি ? এ কেমন আধ্যাত্মিকতা ? এর ত' প্রতিকার প্রয়োজন | সংবিধানের সংশোধন হয় আর অবতারপুরুষের ঐতিহাসিক ভুলের সংশোধন হয় না ? তা হলে তা যথাযথভাবে ধর্ম আখ্যা পায় কি করে ? ধর্ম ত' শুধু অপরোক্ষ অনুভূত অতিন্দ্রিয় ব্রহ্মতত্ত্ব নয় যে তা ত্রিকাল অবাধিত অবিসংবাদিত সত্য বলে অচ্যূতরূপে অবস্থান করবে ? দ্বন্দ্বময় জগতের দ্বৈতধর্ম ত' স্মৃতিশাস্ত্রের ন্যায় সংশোধনসাপেক্ষ | এবার তাহলে তার সংশোধন হ'ক | আজকের অধ্যাত্মপুরুষরা কি নির্বোধ, নিঃশক্তি যে তাঁরা এই ভ্রান্ত সিদ্ধান্ত পরিবর্তনে অপারক, যে পরিবর্তন সনাতন সভ্যতা সংরক্ষণের সাপেক্ষে আজ অপরিহার্য ? এর জন্যও কি আবার আর এক যুগাবতার ও আর এক যুগাচার্যের আবির্ভাবের আবশ্যক ? তাহলে ক্লীবতার শেষ সীমায় সমাগত বর্তমানের বকধার্মিকের দল | 🕉

You are a marvellous person. I marvel at your magnificent mind. Your munificence also is regal, absolutely selfless and full of divine grace. May power not corrupt your sublime virtues and keep you on the path of philanthropy in the right earnest spirit, to the right recipient at the right time for the right cause! May your bright brain guide your decisions and may the heart never get the better of the head in money matters! For life's general dealings may the heart rule the head but in matters of money never let emotions get the better of you and ruin fortune! Cultivate your self and rise to heights of achievement shorn of ambition that kills the joy of life and renders one into a sterile being devoid of humanity, for desire, drunk and delirious, destroys. All my blessings attend you ever and ever despite the seeming negligence that tends to sully the sublime with aught of earth. 🕉

WHAT HAPPENED? HOW?
What happened to the vast number of Bangladeshi Hindus? What happened to the vast number of Pakistani Hindus? What happened to the vast number of Afghan Hindus? What happened to the vast number of Kashmiri Hindus? Why have their numbers so drastically reduced? Who were responsible for this drastic dwindling? What was responsible for it? Which ideology? Which theology? Which faith? Was it all in love or was it vicious venom that did it, the toxicity of a totalitarian faith? Where is West Bengal headed? Whither Assam, Kerala and other provincial pockets where Hindus are being gradually replaced by one other denomination? And how has this all happened? How is it happening right now?

SWĀMI SRIDHARĀNANDA IS NO MORE, NAY, IS EVERMORE WITH US
Swāmi Sridharānanda, disciple and personal attendant of Swāmi Virajānanda, has passed away. So I hear and feel sad about. A luminous being. A monk of remarkable erudition, jovial, humorous, affectionate and of harmonic, musical disposition. His reminiscence of his Guru is one of the best reminiscences that I have ever heard, an experience that instantly endeared him to me. Such seminal souls are becoming scarcer by the day, the lights dimming one by one as we enter into the phase of puerile pastimes, theirs being the epoch of historic churning when 'a nation, long suppressed', was finding its footing with uncertain steps in the comity of nations. To that aspirational end Swāmi Sridharānanda had contributed his mite with his engaging ministration, his final one at Sydney.
As the Swāmi departs for his heavenly abode, I pay my last respects to him by sending from afar my humble prostration at his earthly form, now lying in state and awaiting the final rites, I believe.
Swāmi Sridharānanda was disciple dedicated, attendant alert to his spiritual preceptor, Swāmi Virajānanda, and to the great Swāmi Shāntānanda as well when the latter was suffering from tuberculosis, a dreadful, killing, infectious disease then in the 1950s. These great sages had showered their love and benediction on the young novice and later monk which later fructified in his long life of distinguished monastic ministration.
Sridharānandaji was frank, articulate, possessed of great diction and a keen intellect, learned, rational and insightful. He had a massive frame, a sizeable head and great bearing. Overall, a formidable figure, a mighty man, but of gentle, genial disposition. I dare say, such a monk is rare indeed in our world of modest means and mediocre mettle and to have lost one such truly means a loss to all who knew him personally and to countless others who had been in communion with him through the viewing of his speeches and discourses delivered online.
We will miss you, Maharaj. Never, perhaps, in our lives it will be that such a one as you shall grace our lives with that lovely smile of yours full of boyish mischief writ large on your face and in that characteristic glint in your eyes. Farewell and fare you well in your onward journey en route perhaps once more to us to bless us again. Else, linger in our fondest memory freshened each day by the fragrance of your spiritual self, so true, so rare, so emblematic of the Holy Trinity who had consumed your life even as they blessed you with eternal life in return. PURSUE THE PRINCIPLE AND NOT PERSONALITY
It is the principle that counts, not the personality. The personality merely illustrates the principle in so far as is humanly possible. The ideal is ever approached and never reached in flesh and form. But deep within where the boundaries blur, where flesh leads to spirit, form to formlessness and scattered thoughts, now concentrated and brought to focus, integrate and coalesce unto superconsciousness, there the physical melts and transmutes into the supraphysical, and personality dissolves to become pure principle. The mundane material becomes the abstract immaterial, the Spirit which is existence-consciousness-bliss absolute. It is this abstract ideal that is the goal, not the intermediary stages of quasi-reality. This principle is to be sought in essence and not in compromised corruption that attempts to fit the infinite into the commonplace finite order of earthly living. Personalities are ever embodying the principle imperfectly and cannot satisfy the sincere seeking soul. The principle alone fulfils. Seek, therefore, the principle and run not after ruinous personalities or organisations that profit from spirituality. 🕉

HE WHOSE WORDS AND DEEDS WERE ONE
Rise above circumstance and assert your independence. To affirm oneself as the Atman and then to avoid temporal trouble in the name of being apolitical is the height of hypocrisy. Dive deep into the feverish complexities of the world and help disentangle befuddled man caught in the snares of ignorance. Not by convenience or compromise can you achieve your end but by sincere effort in establishing dharma. Perfidious politicians cannot be pandered to but must be duly censured for disabling national and regional growth, much the way Swami Vivekananda did while remaining above politics, yet never failing to upbraid erring souls, organisations, institutions and systems for being antithetical to human progress. He never compromised with the wicked and has warned his followers to desist from such acts. Swamiji would have none of the comfortable compromise that makes life easy for an organisation but chose to traverse the thorny path of renunciation in every sense, never compromising with untruth or the wickedness of the deliberate wicked. Alas, we need a Swamiji today to uphold those pristine principles enshrined in valorous terms in our scriptures whose aberration alone we see in execution today! We await his arrival, nay his descent into mortal clay again.
