We, the disciples of Ramakrishna, must manifest character enough to set right the movement that has gone wrong of late. Upon us lies the burden, a very heavy burden to bear, which we must duly do to justify our belonging to him. And first of all it must be by absolute continence and the forsaking of greed, never masquerading it as fundraising for doing welfare work or institutional strengthening. Spirituality cannot be for copper coin compromised. Character indeed and manhood to the marrow that must, to quote Swamiji, 'cleave its way through adamantine walls of difficulty.' At a time of great civilisational danger let this be the clarion call---Jai Ramakrishna!
