POESY: WHEN LIFE ITSELF BECOMES A QUERY
WHEN LIFE ITSELF BECOMES A QUERY
When life itself becomes a query.
When ideals fall afloor
And the begging bowl makes merry,
When the guinea gains ground
And the rot picks its cherry,
When the copper coin strikes the deal
And they raise the toast to sherry.
There burns the Master's form
And in grave his message they bury.
