SANNYĀS

Sannyas is the mean state of mental neutrality, the psychological bob oscillating neither to affection nor to disaffection but remaining in perpetual rest which is termed 'samadhi'. It is the zeroing in of the mind unto the Spirit, the universal set of attributes cancelling in summation to become the Void that is Brahman, not in name or terminology which language must necessarily rest on but in the indefinable essence of things which is nameless but is absolute in singular existence beyond description or enumeration. The sannyāsi of formal initiation into the monastic order is, strictly speaking, only a novitiate in this regard in this arduous path of renunciation as he begins his upward motion against the gravitational pull of external Nature en route to the summit of realisations. Sannyās is the destination and not the path, the end and not the means. The means is sādhanā, the end sannyās.

1389 YEARS OF ENDLESS TERROR

Terrorism is not new in India. It began in 636 CE when the Arabs made their first forays into India. It consolidated its hold ever since 712 CE with the fall of Sindh to the Arab army led by Muhammad Ibn Qasim. Thereafter till date Islamic terrorism has been a regular feature in the subcontinent, having claimed by reasonable estimates 80 million Hindu lives and helping shrink Hindu population between 1192 CE and 1600 CE by 400 million, according to Ferishta. So, the Red Fort blast is no new experience for Hindus. It is old wine in new bottle for a people that has for 1389 years been suffering fanatical persecution at Islamic hands. God knows when this toxic theology will lose ground in India like it did in Spain. In Spain it had to be beaten off and the country cleansed of its corruption thus. What about us, Hindus, who have been endlessly at the receiving end of Islamic jihadi terrorism?

WHO CARES TO GO IN?

Inwardness is the primary condition of spirituality and that begins by loving to stay at home after the day's work is done. The mind must be trained to look inward and and that can never happen if one is in the midst of frivolous enjoyment of the senses all the time. The student must study, the householder must work and the retired man must contemplate the Divine. 

The object of life is Self-realization through education from experience, both internal and external. Work must overcome inertia and wisdom must consume work. Then will come true inaction which is the highest mode of phenomenal living with action proceeding out of the impulse for world-welfare without attachment or proprietorship. A free flow of spontaneous execution of work by Nature through the agency of the mortal coil having no vestige of egotism clinging to it and having no residuum of effect on the soul is the essence of such detached performance of work and is verily the living-free state. Action then is inaction and inaction the intensest action. This is the depth-condition of the soul where surface waves have no access and the disturbances thereof are no more. The mind in this deeper realm feeds on the superconscious and often dissolves in the process to reveal the luminous Self by whose light the universe is lit up. This inwardness, this awareness of the deeper self, this diving into the inner recesses of the Being forms the core principle of spirituality and is the basis of ethics, the discovery of the higher laws of existence and of whatever is good and noble in life and living. Renunciation is, thus, the life-line of spirituality and sacrifice the watchword of civilisation. 

Without the inner life there is nothing substantial to religion or morality, nothing that can sustain man through the vicissitudes of terrestrial life where the blows of Nature are terrible and death-dealing. The life of the Spirit is this seeking within for the inestimable treasures of the soul that otherwise elude the material man engrossed as he is in the pursuit of his evanescent dreams, the perishable commodities of life. The inner life opening, the gateway to freedom is thrown open. Mortal man is no more captive within the confines of the body and the mind is free to soar high into 'that heaven of freedom' whence there is no more return to this terrible quagmire of relativity where death stalks all and fear rules the life of things. 

Care must thus be taken to restrict the outward flow of our mind and we must consciously traverse within ourselves, deep within the soul of our existence, to be free and blissful, fearless and blessed, unfettered radiant beings rambling through the play-field of phenomena careless of consequence, for we have burnt the very seed of desire and attained to kaivalya (the unitary, solitary state of the Being). May all be inspired to lead the inner life in so far as they can and attain to peace and blessedness! 🕉

The word 'Islam' means 'submission'. It is the absolute submission to Allah and to none else. 'Allah' means 'The God', 'Al' standing for 'The' and 'Lah' standing for 'God'. As 'Allah' is 'The God', there can be no other God but Allah. Islam is thus pure dualistic monotheism and cannot tolerate 'Shirk' (partnering God with any other deity as polytheists supposedly do). 'Shirk' is the worst offence in Islam as it challenges the sovereignty of Allah, His jurisdiction, and in effect limits Him which He being the absolute master of heaven and earth and all else cannot be. Shirk is thus unforgivable in the judgement of Allah and death on earth and eternal hellfire hereafter is its punishment. Hindus are in the eyes of Islam polytheists and therefore the worst offenders in the eyes of Allah who must either repent and convert to Islam or face warfare (jihad) and death in defeat. Hindus have thus suffered since 636 CE repeated jihadi attacks from Arab invaders till Rājā Dāhir of Sindh was defeated and killed by Muhammad Ibn Qasim in 712 CE and Hindu land polluted by Islamic perversion. Thereafter till date invasion, loot, conquest, Partition, war and jihadi aggression have been going on against the Hindus. Islam is at war with Hindu Bhāratvarsha for 1389 years.

Islam divides the world into two parts: Dar-ul-Islam (the realm of Islam) and Dar-ul-Harb (the realm of war). The Qur'an mandates every Muslim to engage in jihad (struggle of all shades and dimensions including in the ultimate in war against the kafir). This engagement must be whole-hearted and not half-hearted. Half-hearted participants or non-participants in jihad are dubbed munafiqs or hypocrites who are worse than even kafirs, they having gone against the mandates of the Deen and in effect working against its interests. They along with mushriks (polytheists) are the worst enemies of Islam and will be duly meted out the severest punishment in Jahannam (Islamic hell) by Allah. Thus, jihad is absolutely binding on every Muslim which means every Muslim is a warrior of Allah against the disbeliever. This jihad is aimed at converting the kafir or subjugating him through the imposition of the 'jizya' (protection money charged) on Christians and Jews who are dubbed 'Ahl al-Kitāb' (People of the Book) or by waging war and eliminating the mushriks (those engaged in partnering Allah with other deities), should the latter on first offer of conversion to Islam refuse it. The idea behind all this is that Islam declares itself to be the only true faith and way of life, death and the life hereafter, collectively called 'Deen', and hence cannot tolerate the coexistence of any other faith in finality. The whole world must be made Islamic through ceaseless jihad, the Dar-ul-Harb transformed to Dar-ul-Islam, and in this struggle (jihad) every Muslim must be glad participant, welcoming war, killing the kafir and becoming 'Ghāzi' or becoming 'Shahīd' (martyr) while waging jihad. For either effect great will be the reward in 'Jannah' (Islamic heaven). Thus, although Muslims keep harping that Islam is a religion of peace but war is a constant feature of Islam theologically and has been so in consequence historically. These terrorist attacks are thus the outcome of theological doctrine in essence, the geopolitical triggering causes being peripheral, incidental but not essential. Essentially it is doctrine that dictates adherents of the Deen including extreme violent jihadists dubbed terrorists in modern terminology.

The fault lies with the foundation, the fundamentals of this faith which is patently exclusive and makes the tallest of claims for itself. Islam claims that it is the last and the perfect faith beyond any possibility of further improvement as it is founded on the direct Word of Allah (The God) as revealed in the Qur'an, and hence inviolable and unalterable. All other religions earlier revealed or constructed are partly or wholly flawed and Islam alone is the pure faith without a shred of defect in it. The Qur'an is the perfect Book of God and its injunctions and rulings are mandatory for all of humanity for all time to come. Moreover, Islam being strictly monotheistic makes polytheism a grievous and unforgivable offence which makes Islam highly intolerant, nay, persecuting, and that too righteously, so to say, towards polytheistic faiths and polytheists themselves. Further, Madināh Islam being founded on political principles of governance and war makes it a most aggressive, expansionist political ideology that has historically shed rivers of the blood of the kafir (infidel), the mushrik (polytheist), the murtadd (apostate) and the mulhid (atheist). The blood that is shed in the name of Islam is through jihad (waging war) and it is done to eliminate kufr (infidelity to Allah) from the face of the earth. Jihad in Islam is mandatory for all Muslims and is the ceaseless struggle to convert the whole of humanity to the fold of Islam. This jihad is manifesting yet again in its toxic totalitarian intent against the mushrik Hindus in the Indian subcontinent with an endless series of terrorist activity claiming tens of thousands of lives. The recent Red Fort blast was but one such latest instance of jihad. It stems from scriptural theological roots and it must be comprehended and combated effectively by the study of the Islamic scriptural texts followed by adopting befitting counter-jihad measures. But jihad, it must be remembered, is not optional but mandatory for all Musilms, each one of whom is the soldier of Allah carrying the divinely ordained charge to eliminate kufr (infidelity to Allah).

There is something called radical ideology but there is nothing called radical radicalism like there is nothing called beautiful beauty. Hence, there is nothing called radical Islam, although there is something called Islam which through and through is a radical ideology and a totalitarian theology in core content, mantle movement and crustquaking that in igneous eruption has for fourteen hundred years been attempting the metamorphosis of the whole world unto its medieval Middle-eastern fold. 

The deserts are free of life-giving water but flowing full rivers of death-dealing blood whose largest network of tributaries issues forth from the Indian subcontinent and plunges the people here in perpetual pain. There are geopolitical causes driving world events for sure but theory matters, theology matters more, and where theological toxicity is highest, such toxins such as ricin can contaminate the hearts and minds of the devout and the bodies of innocents perpetually plagued by this pernicious 'pure' principle.

In Pakistan Ahmadiyyās are treated as kafirs and heavily persecuted, and here Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie, Adeel Ahmad Rather and Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui are engaged in jihad. A curious situation! One thing is central to all sects of Islam and claimants to that status---Hindu-hatred. After all Hindus commit regularly that worst of offence in the eyes of Islam---shirk (partnering God with other deities, that is, polytheism). Islam mandates all to shirk 'shirk'. But the idolatrous Hindu seems impervious to Allah's dictum. Hence, even if Sunnis and Shias fight with each other, even if both persecute Ahmadiyyas as false claimant to being Muslims, all three are united in jihad against the Hindus who for their offence of polytheism and idolatry must be obliterated from the face of the earth. Ghazwa-e-Hind thus becomes central to all Islamic sects in so far as Hindu India is concerned.

Loudspeaker prayer calls must not be allowed. They are in open violation of secular principles because of the content of the calls and are a sound hazard that so often disrupts concentration in work. Worst of all, the early morning āzān (Fajr) disturbs sleep and is literally a noise nuisance.

Another pernicious practice is this roadside prayer. These gatherings are politically motivated. Hence, they must not be permitted by the authorities.

How progressive is it in 21st century India for a Muslim man to practise polygamy? Would it be acceptable to them if Muslim women, hypothetically speaking, were to be Constitutionally allowed polyandry? 

Triple Talaq has been outlawed. But Talaq-e-Hasan (the practice of divorcing by uttering 'Talaq' once a month for three months) is still in vogue. The recent case filed by journalist Benazeer Heena in the Supreme Court of India brings into sharp focus this archaic misogynistic practice that is as yet plaguing countless helpless Muslim women. In a modern society with a Constitution framed on the basis of justice and equality such exploitative practices ought to be outlawed. But alas! the Muslim Personal Law Board functions on the basis of the Sharia in regard to civil laws and is responsible for the upholding of such outdated practices. Unless Uniform Civil Code is by legislation enforced, hapless Muslim women will continue to suffer Arab consequences in independent India. When will Muslim women be independent of such religious stranglehold?

The wonderful peaceful history of Islam is proof of the fact that Islam is a religion of peace. Its spread throughout the world by universal love and light, by the acceptance of all other faiths as perfectly true is further proof of its truth. Islam is that great faith which says that conversion is sin and that under no circumstance must one leave one's faith and convert to Islam. If these were true, how lovely it would have been!

Ex-Muslims are the bravest human beings because they leave the faith and risk death. What they are doing for humanity, cowardly Vedānta preachers do not do. These rebels against a stifling system of thought and practice must be widely supported so that more such dare to come out into the open and profess that they no longer profess their former faith. Hindus will be largely benefited by helping bolster the Ex-Muslim Movement which at any rate is growing rapidly across the world despite counter-propaganda to the opposite effect. Humanity must see rationality and reject archaic absolutist faiths which are fanatical and aspire to crush out all other religions in their bid to establish global religiopolitical hegemony.

Islam cannot coexist with any other religion. It is against its very foundational principle which mandates the annihilation of all other faiths. Do not be deluded by the Makkāh Qur'anic āyat "Unto you your religion and unto me mine." That verse was abrogated later in Madināh when it was 'revealed' that kufr had to be eliminated at any rate for which the world was divided into Dar-ul-Harb (the Realm of War) and Dar-ul-Islam (the Realm of Islam). All non-Muslims were to be converted, subjugated with the Jizya (protection money) in case they were People of the Book (Jews and Christians) or waged war against and killed in case they were idolators or polytheists (Hindus and other pagans). The whole idea is domination of the world by the Deen with Allah as the governing sovereign and the Sharia as the law which all under Islamic rule were mandated to abide by.

80 million Hindus were killed by the sword of Islam and yet they have the temerity to say that Hindus are full of hate towards Muslims while they are the protagonists of peace? Who partitioned India, demanding separate homeland for the Muslims? Who butchered the Hindus on 16 August, 1946 followed by the three month genocide of Hindus in Noakhali in particular and across the whole of East Bengal thereafter? Who were the Moplāhs who carried out the genocide of Hindus in 1922? Who drove 500,000 Kashmiri Hindus out of the Valley overnight? Who carried out 9/11 and 47,000 terror attacks thereafter? Who made mounds of Hindu heads, destroyed Hindu temples, desecrated idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses, imposed the Jizya, looted the Somnath, razed to the ground Gyān Vāpi, Mathurā, Ayodhya, Delhi and God knows how many more temples, an estimated 44,000 prominent ones of which Sita Ram Goel has catalogued with documentary evidence 2,200? Who burnt down Nalanda and Vikramashila Universities? Finally, who killed Guru Arjan Devji, Guru Tegh Bahadurji, Banda Singh Bahadur, Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das, the four sons of Guru Gobind Singhji and stabbed the last Sikh Guru to eventual death? All acts of Hindu terror on themselves? No, you know who did all this, and yet you talk? Shame!

The inability to rehabilitate 500,000 Kashmiri Hindus back in their homeland is a direct capitulation to Aurangzeb's original programme of Islamisation of Kashmir to resist which the great Guru Tegh Bahadurji sacrificed his life. This point must be borne in mind by the Government of India. It is a 1389 year old Islamisation of Bhāratvarsha going on ever since the first jihad waged against our motherland in 636 CE. And this with active support of a host of antinational political parties and leaders, prominent intellectuals and men of letters who are hell-bent as if in bringing down our civilisational stronghold, thus our beloved motherland, the heartland of the Hindus, in the name of licentious liberalism. It is puerile patriotism, nonsensical nationalism on one side and ruinous roguery aided by libertine liberalism masking malefic intent on the other. To end this prolonged presentation now, let me reiterate that if the Government of India is so intent on de-Aurangzebising India, then it better start immediate rehabilitation of the displaced Kashmiri Hindus in their homeland with full police protection against jihadi elements that are legion in this their Dar-ul-Harb that is the endpoint of their struggle before Ghazwa-e-Hind will usher in Qayāmat.

We hear so many Muslims saying that BJP and the RSS are playing the game of dividing India into antagonistic camps of Hindus and Muslims. But these Muslims do not reveal the fact that 1400 years ago, when the BJP and the RSS did not even exist, Islam divided the world into Muslims and Kafirs as per Qur'anic injunction. Hindus being non-believers in Islam as such are deemed Kafirs, even worse as Mushriks or polytheists whose fate is far worse than those Kafirs who are Ahl-e-Kitāb (People of the Book like Jews and Christians who in Islamic state are allowed to exist in humiliation by paying protection money called the Jizyā). But Mushriks because they practise 'shirk' (partnering other Gods and Goddesses with Allah which is the worst and unpardonable offence in the eyes of Allah) are to be forced into conversion, failing which they are to be eliminated altogether. No jizya-paying existence for them. So, Deen-e-Islam divides the world and even India into opposed communities, in the latter into Hindus and Muslims, and not the BJP and the RSS which are yesterday's organisations built in defence of the Hindus.

Islam is through and through a radical political ideology with a whole medieval civilisational basis to its teachings geared to conquering the whole world and bring it under its toxic theocratic fold. 'Radical Islam' is a Western construct bound in Western liberal traditions attempting to make sense of Islamic intolerance and terrorism thereof while preserving its (the West's) neocolonial control over Islamic countries to further their (the West's) geopolitical interests. Likewise is the term 'Islamism' coined by the West to denote 'Political Islam' which is yet another Western connotation of Islam where it is geared to impose its political will on the rest of humankind, the rule of the Sharia over as yet Dar-ul-Harb (the realm of war) which Muslims must convert to Dar-ul-Islam (the realm of Islam). Such terminology is counterproductive as it obfuscates the true character of Islam and deludes non-Muslims (kafirs) into believing that Islam,---as loudly claimed by Muslims practising Al Taqqaiya universally,---is a religion of peace after all and the terror activities numbering in the tens of thousands worldwide are but aberrations creeping into the 'noble faith' owing to the mischief of miscreants who do not practise 'the real Islam'. Such confusion is being perpetuated in the minds of gullible non-Muslims worldwide by coordinated propagation of half-truths and whole lies by the combine of leftists and Muslims whose verbal aids are such terms as 'Radical Islam', 'Political Islam' and 'Islamism' which are best done away with to quicken public awareness about the toxicity of this faith fast.
