He died at 9.10 p.m. on 4 July, 1902 and was cremated at the Belur Math precincts the very next day, 5 July, 1902 at 1.00 p.m. So, Mahārāj (Jagadguru Mahāmandaleshvar Swāmi Paramātmānanda) is providing wrong information in stating that Swamiji could not be cremated for two days after his death owing to lack of personnel who could discharge the cremation duty, meaning thereby that none were ready to cremate a kayastha sannyasi as monasticism was deemed exclusive to brāhmans.

Besides there are subterranean causes, subliminal drives of the persecuted of the earth, especially the Sanātanis, for the Lord to lighten their burden by descending in mortal clay, eliminating the evil-doers, their evil ideology and establishing the Perennial Philosophy (Sanātan Dharma) on earth to help humanity strike the necessary balance, the golden mean, for civilisation to continue along the righteous path, it having been much perverted by this perfidious faith of purely political intent. 🕉 Hindu!

Pakistan, indeed the whole Islamic world, would do well to honour Professor Abdus Salam in every possible way and follow his lead unto learning and light, instead of squabbling over narrow noxious readings of religious texts whose broader understanding would perchance quicken progress once more as in Islam's halcyon days when Hindu-Greek learning had ignited Islamic minds.

Sugata Bose @Sameer Banik : ISKCON has suffered at the hands of Bangladeshi jihadis in 2021 October when one of their staff was murdered in their temple premises and their temples vandalised and looted. I can remember three of their female devotees---a mother of 36 years, her daughter of 16 years and her niece of 10 years---being raped. Chinmoy Krishna Das was a renunciate of ISKCON but was expelled on some charges. Thereafter ISKCON distanced itself from him. ISKCON is a declared target of Bangladeshi jihadi organisations who have post the Hasina fall demanded its closure. ISKCON, therefore, is under significant pressure, existential threat, in Bangladesh. It have been repeatedly targeted by jihadis which keeps it from opening its mouth. The fate of Hindus and Hindu organisations in Bangladesh is simply pathetic. There is no room for protest at all. Protest led Chinmoy Prabhu to jail. So, there you see. 🕉 Hindu!

This grand unity which the sages invoked among us, we have failed to secure or sustain for over at least a millennium now which has weakened us and is now threatening our eventual annihilation. But the message of the Rig Veda sung here is clear and we can heed it to save our civilisation. Else, great peril is in store for us. 

Your contribution to awakening the Hindus to their civilisational imperatives is seminal and we witness in you a revolutionary fellow warrior in this battle of attrition that is on. All strength unto you!

Give up passive piety and aggressively defend the Dharma. Every anti-Hindu move must be combated, every such movement confronted head on and defeated. This ought to be the resolve of every Sanātani. No more cowardice but courage that destroys evil. Read the revolutionary in Krishna who through war uproots the source of evil to save Bhāratvarsha from a civilisational collapse. Read in Rām the advancing warrior who crushes evil and restores good even at the cost of supreme personal loss. Stop singing and dancing like effeminate beings when a civilisational war is at hand. WHAT DISTINGUISHES SWAMIJI FROM THOSE THAT HAVE FOLLOWED HIM 

Swamiji was convinced about what he was saying as it was based upon spiritual realisation, deep intellectual reflection, vast erudition and an overwhelming sense of purpose born out of an abiding love for humanity that knew no bounds nor limited itself within geographical boundaries or cultural contours. Finally, he had received divine commission from his spiritual master to preach the word of God at home and abroad. Sri Ramakrishna had in his dying days at the Cossipore Garden House written on a scrap of paper, "নরেন লোকশিক্ষা দিবে যখন ঘরে বাইরে হাঁক দিবে |" ["Naren will teach the world when he will thunder at home and abroad."] Thus Vivekananda 'spoke with authority and not as the scribes do', and was victorious everywhere. His words were scripture and spiritually transformed his audience. If modern preachers are not so, it is because they possess none of the qualities which adorned the Swami. 

Realisation, reflection, reading, resistance to material temptation, universal sympathy, courage of conviction, freedom of the soul, uncompromising nature that does not stoop to seek worldly support, strength of character that is self-sustaining, abundance of talent, idealism, a vast mind, oratorical power as if 'by divine right'---all these and much more distinguished the Swami not only from his peers in the world then but also from fellow preachers after him. Most are compromised in life with material gain and are apologetic about what they say about the Dharma in relation to its suffering at the hands of alien invasive powers and their aggressive Abrahamic faiths. No wonder they fail to impress for long a discerning audience. And thus the Vedantic missionary work suffers. We need valorous souls with fiery force to come to the fore and preach the Dharma the masculine way across the length and breadth of the world. 🕉 Hindu!

কী অবস্থা দেশের ! কেউ ভাব বোঝে না | খালি বস্তুবাদ আর বাণিজ্য, লাভ আর ক্ষতি, সম্ভোগ আর দুর্ভোগ ! অনেক বছর আগে আমার এক মাস্টারমশাই বলেছিলেন যে তিনি যে বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক, সেখানে পাঠ্যক্রম হতে কবিতা তুলে দেওয়া হয়েছে | তার পরিবর্তে গদ্য আনা হয়েছে | এর কারণ বিদ্যালয়ে ভর্তি নেওয়া হচ্ছে প্রভূত অর্থ উৎকোচ নিয়ে | সে সব অযোগ্য ধনী ছাত্র কাব্যবোধশূণ্য | তাদের কবিতা পড়ানো এক দুঃসাধ্য কাজ | তাই | 

আজ ঘরে ঘরে এই একই দুরবস্থা | সিরিয়াল বোঝে, টাকা কড়ি খুব ভাল বোঝে কিন্তু সূক্ষ্ম কোনো কিছুই বোঝে না, বোঝার আগ্রহ নেই, অনীহা অথবা অরুচি | এক প্রজন্মের মধ্যে সংস্কৃতির যে অধঃপতন লক্ষ্য করলাম তা দুঃসহ | কার জন্য লেখা ? কেবা পড়ে ? কেবা বোঝে ? কাকে সম্বোধন করে রসপরিবেশনা ? রসবোধ কই ? ঈশ্বর রসস্বরূপ কিন্তু তাঁর ভক্তেরা প্রায়ই রসবোধবিবর্জিত, অর্থলোলুপ, স্থূলপ্রকৃতি | ঘরে ঘরে সংস্কৃতির খরা | সবই মোটা দানায় চলছে, মসলিন শিল্পীর বুড়ো আঙুল কেটে দেওয়া হয়েছে | হা ভগবান !

MYTHOLOGY MUST NOT REPLACE SCIENCE

Mythology must not replace science. There is no proof that there is a God who has created the universe, governs it and eventually destroys it. These things happen as per natural law and not as per the will of any God. Spiritual consciousness is quite apart from such puerile conceptions of the Divine which in its absolute transcendental state is the non-dual Brahman/Atman. That entity you may call God or whatever you like. The Vedas call It 'Tat', pronounced 'Tut'. But to imprint on the minds of the masses mythological tales of creation conducted by God or gods, as preachers regularly do, breeds superstition in them and retards their intellectual growth which is unwholesome and unwelcome at that if India wishes to be a developed state by 2047. A superstitious polity cannot survive the challenges of a fast modernising world nor may be deemed developed. The workings of Nature, as understood by the sensory human mind, must be taught the scientific way and not in manner mythological. Beyond that philosophical speculations are welcome but not puerile storytelling by way of teaching science.
