IN RESPONSE TO THE COMMENT MADE BY SHREE ANANT M VYAS

'The God of India's destiny' is the literal translation of BHARATABHAGYAVIDHATA which is integral to our National Anthem. So, I do not think that there is anything demeaning in the use of this phrase or any cause for it to be a 'seed of dissension' as has been, it seems, suggested by you, respected Shree Anant M Vyasji, unless, of course, you are opposed to the gender of the term 'God' which runs in contradiction to the use of the term 'Mother' elsewhere in the essay and wish that it ought to be 'Goddess'. But there is a degree of literary licence in these usages, you see, for reasons of artistic embellishment and these grammatical strictures, therefore, run contrary to the aesthetics of expression. It is heartening, however, to discern in your affable objection, a degree of patriotic fervour and concern for the integration of the motherland for which I feel beholden to you. Do continue to read my essays and remain bonded to the cause of national regeneration. May God shower His bounties on you and yours is my earnest prayer unto Him!
