এটি খুব বড় কথা, সংশয়নিবারক | একজনও যদি পাঠ করেন ত' কম কী ? ঠাকুর বলেছেন, "একজ্ঞান জ্ঞান, বহুজ্ঞান অজ্ঞান |" একটি পাঠকের মূল্য কি কম ? ওই একেই ত' বিধৃত সংসার | শ্রীভগবান ত' একজনকেই গীতোপনিষদ শুনিয়েছিলেন | অথচ আজ তা বিশ্ববিদিত | আবার বাসুদেব গীতোক্ত বাণী উচ্চারণের পূর্বে তা নিজ বিশ্বমানসে ধারণ করেছিলেন, তৎপরে তা কারণশরীর হতে সূক্ষ্মশরীরে ও সূক্ষ্মশরীর হতে স্থূলশরীরে আনয়নপূর্বক শ্রীমুখ হতে শব্দাকারে ধ্বনিত করেন | শিষ্যের শ্রুতিগোচর হওয়ার মুহূর্তপূর্ব পর্যন্ত ত' ভগবান একাই তা নানা অবস্থায় শ্রবণ করেন | অর্থাৎ, রচয়িতা রচনাকালীন প্রথম এককপাঠক চিরকাল | পরে সংযোগে পাঠককুলে তাঁর রচনা বহুগৃহীত | এই একই আবার ব্রহ্মরূপকল্পনায় বহুরূপে প্রতিভাত | বিশুদ্ধজ্ঞানে এক, বিশুদ্ধপ্রেমে দুই, বহুসঙ্গঅভীপ্সায় বহু | এই ত' দার্শনিক গণিত 'একোহম বহুশ্যাম |' হয়ত' এই আনন্দভোগহেতুই বহুত্বযোগ | তাই 'অনাদি সৃষ্ট, অনন্ত সৃষ্টি |' আনন্দভোগ আনন্দভাগে | তাই সংযোগের বাসনা | সে বাসনা সংখ্যায় আসক্ত না হ'ক, একটিমাত্র পাঠকের বোধরূপী মর্মোৎকর্ষেও সন্তোষ লাভ করুক |

1. The Holy Name destroys bad sanskārs and replaces them with good ones that help us on towards the divine destination.

2. The disease of worldliness once set in is so difficult to remove. And yet the Divine Name can dispel it in a trice. But when that moment will come only Ishvar knows. Ours is but to incessantly chant.

3. টাকাকে ভগবান জ্ঞান করলে, ভগবানকে টাকা জ্ঞান হয় | তাই যুগমন্ত্র 'টাকা মাটি, মাটি টাকা' যা আজ ব্রাত্যরূপে যুগাবতারের নব আবির্ভাবের সূচক হতে চলেছে |

4. এ সব জ্যোতিষাদি ছাড়' | নাম জপ' |

5. ভগবানকে পেতে চাও ত' ভিখারী হোয়ো না |

6. ঠাকুর ভগবান---এই বোধ থাকলে ত' আর ভাবনা নেই | তাঁকে ভালবাসলে তাঁর সত্তালাভ, আনন্দ, মুক্তি, যাতনার অবসান |

7. The wavefree mind is God.

8. Forgetting Guru is a grave sin. At the time of earthly departure all earthly work will be left behind. Only Gutu's grace will lead the way and guide the soul upward.

9. Sampūrna sharanāgati to Guru, nirantar nāmjap, shāstrasvādhyāy---the three things necessary for adhyātmik pragati.

Complete self-surrender to preceptor, incessant chanting of mantra, study of scripture--the three things necessary for spiritual progress.

10. Today, yet again someone insulted me. I decided: "Do not react to this dishonour but also in future do not respond." The said one has lost me. Now the path lies ahead for Atmabhajan, for I have lost all else. This world of utter hollowness of human relations falls apart as my vision clarifies to the Self that I am. 🕉

11. Reject and risk rejection. This is the law of life. What is it to God or Guru if you reject? Not a straw. The loss is yours. 🕉

14. Spirituality is self-dependence. Independence of affection frees the soul which in superconsciousness 'sees' that it was forever free.

16. Man's desire for worldly gain just does not go. Endlessly driven by it, he perishes over and over again. And yet the camel must consume thorn.

17. This world is false, a hideous hell, till you see it in God in clear daylight.

18. It is such a shame that thoughts count so little to almost all. All that matters is the slavish delight of the eyes and the slavish allegiance of the surface mind to the photo-form of a preferred soul, say Sri Ramakrishna.

The medicine is Ganga water, the physician God Himself.

24. প্যাঁচ খুললে সরল হবে | সরল হলে ঈশ্বরলাভ হবে |

25. বুদ্ধিজীবীদের বিভ্রান্তিকর বচন ছেড়ে মুনিঋষিদের আশ্রয় গ্রহণ করুন | শাস্ত্রপাঠ করুন | রামায়ণ, মহাভারত, ভাগবত, কথামৃত, স্বামীজীরর বাণী ও রচনা---এই সব পড়ুন | কল্যাণ হবে |

26. বৃদ্ধাবস্থায় বাবা-মাকে দেখবেন, সেবা করবেন | বৃদ্ধাশ্রমে ছেড়ে আসবেন না |

27. আমাদের বিবাহ, উপনয়ন, শ্রাদ্ধ---এইসব অনুষ্ঠানে খরচ অনেক কমানো প্রয়োজন | সারা জীবনের সঞ্চয় ব্যয় করে মানুষ এতে সর্বশান্ত হয় | পরে অর্থাভাবে জর্জরিত, ক্লীষ্ট জীবন |

28. বুদ্ধিদোষ দূর করতে শাস্ত্রাচরণ আবশ্যক | তখন ভগবদ্বোধ স্বতঃই হবে |

29. Study Sanskrit. This is essential for saving the Sanātanis from civilisational destruction.

30. নাস্তিকতা ও রামকৃষ্ণ-বিবেকানন্দবর্জনে বাংলার ভয়ঙ্কর ক্ষতি হয়েছে | আজ ঠাকুর-মা-স্বামীজীকে ধরেই বাঙালীকে তথা ভারতবর্ষকে আবার উঠতে হবে সভ্যতার শিখরে | তাঁদের শিক্ষায় সব সমস্যার সহজ সমাধান হবে | অবশ্য, আজ রামকৃষ্ণ-বিবেকানন্দ ভাবান্দোলনই মূল কেন্দ্রে আদর্শভ্রষ্ট বহুলাংশে | তাই সমস্যা আরও সঙ্গীন |

31. Impermanence is the law of life and transcendence is its solution.

বিষয়রঙে রঙেছ' মন,

ট্যাক্সো দিতে হবে |

'হাম্বা', 'হাম্বা 'ডাকটি ছেড়ে

যখন 'তুঁহু', 'তুঁহু' কবে,

তখন প্রভুর দেখা পাবে,

মুক্তি পাবে তবে ||

33. চালাকির দ্বারা যে মহত কাজ হয় না, স্বামীজীর এই সহজ কথাটা আমরা যতদিন না বুঝব, ততদিন আমাদের ফাঁদে পড়তেই হবে |

34. First, character will have to be built. Word of honour, commitment kept. Truthfulness and good behaviour. Next ethics. Last spirituality.

35. Truthfulness is the foundation of character and character thus formed is the bedrock of life.

সব দেখি বেঁকে রয়েছে | সোজা পথে না এলে কি আর বাঁকেবিহারীর ঝাঁকি দর্শনও হবে ?

37. Sweet talk, sweet service, sweet demeanour sweeten the soul unto the sweetest of all, Rasovaisa, the One who is steeped in Rasa, Īshvara. 🕉

38. Work in the world but live like a saint. Be devoted to Guru and God. Remember Guru is God. Never forget this. Never.

39. Man binds himself hands and feet and then struggles for freedom. First untie yourself and then feel the bliss of freedom. Alas, simplicity is not for most! And, yet, the simple person alone attains to perfection by following the preceptor perfectly. Simple faith achieves what perplexing propositions fail to do. Following in the footsteps of the Guru helps avoid the pitfalls of life and traverse the royal road to eternal happiness. The soul is divine, the destiny divine and success is guaranteed if one follows the Guru. 🕉

40. অহঙ্কারকে দূর করাই সাধনা | বাকি সব ওমনিই হবে | নাম জপ ঈশ্বরের প্রতি অনুরাগ বাড়ায়, অহংবুদ্ধি কমায় | তাই নামজপ ঈশ্বরলাভের সহায়ক |

41. হে নাস্তিক সমুদয়, ভগবান আছেন | পবিত্র হও, ত্যাগ, তপস্যা কর', প্রমাণ পাবে | 

কর্ম ছাড়া কি ফল লাভ হয় ? কার্য-কারণ সম্বন্ধ ত' মানো | সেই সুবাদেই বলছি, অহং বিসর্জন দিয়ে শাস্ত্রসিদ্ধান্ত মেনে কিছুকাল শ্রদ্ধাসহকারে ভগবজ্জীবন যাপন কর', অচিরেই টের পাবে সূক্ষ্ম জগতের | গুরুপ্রদর্শিত পথে আরও এগোলে তাঁর দেখা পাবে যিনি জগতব্রহ্মাণ্ড সপ্তসুরে বেঁধে রেখেছেন তাঁর অপার্থিব বংশীতে | সেই বাঁকেবিহারীর দর্শন-শ্রবণে সর্ব সংশয় দূর হবে, অন্তরের গভীর আস্তিক্যবোধে ধন্য হবে |

42. Do not sell God and raise funds which you cleverly call donation.

43. Beware of fake Gurus. Stay within yourself and worship the God within the sanctum of your heart. 

Repeat: Beware of fake Gurus.

44. The form of limitless loveliness, Shree Krishna, Brajabihāri, Govinda, Rādhavallabha.

45. I am devoid of desire. I am the fulfilment of the three worlds.

49. This registration with money for participating in spiritual programmes is a nice business, another novelty in spiritual commerce.

50. Those who are not descended from great men can always take pride in the fact that they themselves are great men in the making. 

51. The profile of a person scarce catches his essence. It is all a case of wave defining depth. But can it?

52. When even spirituality sells, this indeed must be Business Age. What a far cry from the Dakshineshwar days!

53. Coal and diamond are both carbon. Learn to distinguish between them. Then learn to unlearn it. 

55. Why behave like a beggar to earn a bit of money? Is self-esteem saleable so cheap? Is such self-sale not demeaning after all?

55. It is a shame to be so shameless in raising money in the name of God when God Himself has instructed us categorically to renounce it. His highest temple is the human heart. Hence, enough of making His stone temples and begging for funds for the same. Serve with the funds already stocked up, heaps of them, and stop begging for more.

56. The object is not to widen reach by sacrificing depth. If width is gained at the cost of depth, then go for depth rather than width. Individual lives must be built rather than collective scattering to no effect. The core sacrificed, the foundation weakened, the citadel must fall. That is dangerous.

57. Stem the rot while there is time lest the citadel fall. The foundation undermined, the edifice cannot stand. A change in the executive order is the call of the hour, a wholesale change of guard. Men of strong character must replace men of crass commerce. That is the spiritual necessity now when silver is fast supplanting the saffron.

58. Be totally devoid of all superstition. Superstition stems from the idea that you are 'body'. But you are the Spirit that is beyond all taint. What superstition can hold your omnipotent soul? Therefore, give up all such weaknesses, astrology, numerology, esoterics, stray happenings et al that you deem ominous, and be free of fear, blissful and whole. There is none to hold you save your karma. Take care of it. Be bold and buoyant. 🕉

59. The first thing in spirituality is fearlessness. Practise it to begin with. Then see how happy you feel. This fear of everything around is the bane of healthy living. Give it up. Be brave, be manly, be womanly, be pure and live life to conquer it.

60. There is no God waiting to punish you, none to reward you. Your own karma brings in good and bad results. Proper action, pure and holy, leads to happiness, to eternal blessedness.

61. বেকার লেখা | কেউ কিছু পড়ে না | শুধু ছবি দেখে | শুধু শুধু পণ্ডশ্রম |

एक पूजन से सब पूजन,

एक ही श्याम माने |

बिन पूजन से मोह माया,

श्यामसुन्दर ना जाने ||

एक ही अनेक, अनेक एक |

सामर्थ है तो प्रेम से देख ||

64. At the highest pitch of intensity of divine love God gives His vision.

65. দেশটা যে অধঃপাতে গেছে তা আধ্যাত্মিকতার নাম করে প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক টাকা তোলার সমর্থনে যে সব বাণিজ্যিক ভক্ত দাঁড়ান, তা দেখেই বোঝা যায় | এঁরা বুঝবেন 'টাকা মাটি, মাটি টাকা'-র মাহাত্ম্য ? তাহলেই হয়েছে | এ সব অধ্যাত্ম অনুভবের বিষয়, বিষয়ীর ভাসমান স্বল্পবুদ্ধির বিষয় নয় |

'Nām japo, keerat karo, vandh chākho.'

One man, what a movement! The reverberation rolls even today. Nanak, the sage who saved Sanātanis.

67. ভগবানের ভক্ত অনেক প্রকার | এক প্রকার হল অর্থার্থী | তাঁরা ঘোর বিষয়ী | তাই তৃতীয় রিপুপরবশ প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক অর্থসমাগমের যে কোন প্রকার প্রচেষ্টাকে সমর্থন করেন, তা আদি আদর্শচ্যূতি ঘটালেও | এঁদের বিত্তবাসনা বিশুদ্ধ ঈশ্বরপ্রেমকে আচ্ছাদিত করেছে | তাই এঁদের কিছু বলা বৃথা, মরুপ্রান্তরে বারিবর্ষণ, অরণ্যে রোদন | এঁরাই আদর্শস্খলনকে ক্রমান্বয়ে সমর্থন করে সঙ্ঘের সর্বনাশসংঘটনে সহায়তা করেন |

অন্যমনে চাহ যারে,

সেই ভগবান তোমার দ্বারে |

ভিক্ষাপাত্র নিয়ে তারে 

প্রাণ ভরে দাও অঝোরধারে ||

69. To love God is easy, to give up self is difficult. And, yet, self-surrender in utter simplicity to God eases this renunciation of self. Bhakti is the greased path of access into the Divine, jnāna the rough terrain of quicker climb and steeper fall. Hence, bhakti is the recommended path in this Age of material corruption.

তুমি আছো তাই আছি প্রভু,

তুমি বিনা দিশাহারা |

হেলায় দেখ' ওই বেলা বয়ে যায়,

প্রভুদরশনে যেন জীবন জুড়ায় |

72. যে বাঁকা, সে বাঁকাই থাকে | সরলতা সহজে আসে না | অনেক জন্মের ধাক্কা খেতে খেতে অভিজ্ঞতার আলোকে শিক্ষা হয় | তখন সরলভাবে শ্রদ্ধাসহকারে গুরুপ্রদর্শিত পথে চলতে শেখে সাধক/সাধিকা আর তখনই ঈশ্বরলাভরূপ পরম প্রাপ্তি হয় |

73. It has been such a privilege to have been born a Sanātani in Bhāratvarsha. Punyabhumi, Matribhumi, a whole subcontinent that is a pilgrimage with saints even today treading the footsteps of the sages of yore. Blessed is the breeze that blows, blessed the air we breathe, blessed the water that flows down Himālayan glaciers to the ocean below, blessed is life itself here on this heaven on earth ['Janani janmabhumishcha svargādapi gariyasi'] where realisation of Īshvara becomes easy with the perennial grace of the gods and sages flowing like Ganga water.

74. Beauty is that which sings of the Divine.

75. How abides the Ishta? Swamiii was not very happy with the word 'God' as it failed to express the Indian idea of 'Īshvara' quite fully. The 'Ishta' is the aspired one who is possessed of divinity in the eyes of the aspirant. The aspirant herself is divine and beholds divinity in the intensest extreme in the Divine Beloved who lords over her heart, her soul, her every cell and her transcendent being, who is her soul, her self and in union the Self Itself, her very existence up and down the ladder that is the rambling path to union and infinitesimally small separation to savour the divine delight.

76. স্তবস্তুতি, নিন্দা-প্রশংসা, মান-অপমান যে একাধারে নেয় ঈশ্বরের প্রসাদরূপে, সেই তিতিক্ষাবলে কালে স্থিতপ্রজ্ঞ হয় |

77. 

Love of God leads to liberation. But our Indian idea of God is quite apart from the Abrahamic idea. This distinction must be maintained. Our idea is that of Īshvara in His universal all-inclusive pervasiveness, full of compassion for all irrespective of race, class, caste, creed, nationality, gender, species et al. He is the highest ideal to be loved, adored, aspired for and cherished in throbbing memory each moment such that remembrance becomes living reality, perceivable and perceived. 🕉

78. Intense longing alone may by His grace be fulfilled in God-vision.

79. Purity leads to poetry in some. Such are the seer-poets, the hrishi-kavis who in metre have revealed the marvels of the manifest Brahman, the Īshvara in all His unearthly sublimity.

80. সকল সময়ই ভগবানের, তবু ভগবানের জন্য সময় পাই না | এর নাম বিষয়াসক্তি | 

81. The amount of time and energy people waste in engaging in worldly activity, if directed towards God, would surely lead to God-realisation by His grace.

82. Shānta Bhāva, Dāsya Bhāva, Vātsalya Bhāva, Sakhya Bhāva and Madhur Bhāva---these are the five major moods in the spiritual path.

83. মায়া জ্ঞান-অজ্ঞানের মিশ্র সমুদ্র | গুরু কাণ্ডারী ভবার্ণব অতিক্রমণে |

84. Neglect God and pay the price. Futile are worldly activities unless done by way of spiritual austerity to realise the Divine.

85. Deepen yourself. Don't float like others on the frothy surface of life.

86. Islam and Christianity are both against Hinduism. That is why they insist on conversion of Hindus to their fold.

87. ধর্মের নামে ভণ্ডামি করা সবচেয়ে সহজ ও অর্থগতভাবে লাভদায়ক | বিশ্বজুড়ে এই ভণ্ডামি চলেছে | তাই ঠাকুর কামিনীকাঞ্চন ত্যাগকে ধর্মজীবনের কষ্টিপাৃথররূপে নির্ণয় করে গেছেন | আর মহাপ্রভু যশপ্রতিষ্ঠাকে শূকরীবিষ্ঠা বলে ধিকৃত করেছেন | প্রেমানন্দ গোবিন্দশরণজী কামিনী, কাঞ্চন ও কীর্তি, এই ত্রয়ীকে সাধনপথে বিঘ্ন বলেছেন | স্বামীজী বলেছেন যে গৃহীরা কামকাঞ্চনে আসক্ত আর সন্ন্যাসীরা নব্বই শতাংশ লোকমান্যে আবদ্ধ | এহেন সামাজিক অবস্থায় যে দুর্জন ধার্মিকের ভান করবে আর স্বল্পসাধক সিদ্ধপুরুষ, অবতারকল্প পুরুষের ভান করে সাধারণ মানুষকে ঠকাবে, তাতে আর আশ্চর্য হওয়ার কি আছে ? যিনি তা করেন না, তিনি ধন্য, তাঁর অনুগামীরাও ধন্য |

88. সবচেয়ে ভাল নিজে ভক্তিলাভ করা | এ সংক্রামক ব্যাধির ন্যায়, অপরের মধ্যে সঞ্জাত হয় | হৃদয়ে প্রেম, আচরণে সংযম আর মুখে মধুর সত্যভাষণ, অকপট, স্বচ্ছ, ঋজু চরিত্র---এই সব অবলম্বনে ভক্তির প্লাবন ঘটে যা ভাসিয়ে নিয়ে যায় সকলকে | মহাপ্রভু, ঠাকুর মহাভাবে হলেন এই ভক্তির চূড়ান্ত নিদর্শন | তাঁদের ভক্তিভাবে জগত প্লাবিত হচ্ছে, হবে |

89. You are my pride but in the sense of sāttvik glory, not in the sense of earthly vanity.

90. Māyā is the phenomenal state of things. It is neither illusion nor magic but is phenomena seen through the senses, ever-changing and ephemeral, insubstantial and deluding, as it covers the Reality behind that is the Absolute Existence-Consciousness-Bliss. This Māyā must be transcended, the ocean of sańsār crossed by the grace of the Guru and Ātmasākshātkār (Self-realisation) achieved.

Devotion, dedication, depth.

Floaters never reach the bed, divers do.

The Guru's grace is only on the sincere, the simple and the deep, not on the evasive, the shrewd and the superficial.

When Tulsidāsji was asked, "What will the sant of the Kali Yuga be like?", he had answered, "The sant of the Kali Yuga will be one who will sell the Veda (वेद को बेचेगा) and milk the Dharma (धर्म को दोहन करेगा)."

129. Getting immersed in worldliness, the jeeva is hurled from birth to birth in this samsāra of suffering. Remaining close to the Guru is the way out.

Rooted in the soil we will conquer the world. The Sanātan Dharma is our anchor, our root, our refuge, our recourse, our means of national recovery. Read the shāstras (Sanātan scriptures) and strike your roots. Learn Sanskrit to study the shāstras in depth. Chant and contemplate the name of the Lord. But chant unfailingly,  incessantly. The Lord feeds on it. Meditate by relaxing attention, by setting the mind free of deliberate thinking. Relax the mind and with it the nerves. Let thoughts come in and go out as they will. Just be the witness. The mind will calm down gradually, the breath will slow down and a peaceful freshness will fill your entire being. 🕉

দীক্ষা হল শরীরমনের আধ্যাত্মিক সংস্কারসাধন | মন্ত্রারূঢ় গুরু শিষ্যার মস্তকে স্থিত হন, তৎপরে হৃদয়োস্থিত ইষ্টকে প্রাথমিক জাগ্রত করে পুনঃ সহস্রারপদ্মে অবস্থান করেন | তাই দীক্ষাগ্রহণের পর আর গুরু ব্যতীত কাউকে দণ্ডবৎ প্রণাম অথবা গড় হয়ে মাথা ঠেকিয়ে প্রণাম না করাই শ্রেয়ঃ | কোন কোন সমাধিবান গুরু মস্তক ও হৃদয়ে উভয়েই যুগ্মরূপে অবস্থান করেন | শিষ্যার কল্যাণকল্পে গুরু পূর্ণরূপ জাগ্রত হন ইষ্টরূপে | তাই গুরু আর ইষ্টে প্রভেদ করতে নেই | মন্ত্রদাতা গুরুই ইষ্ট | ইষ্টই গুরুরূপে অবতীর্ণ হন | গুরু-ইষ্ট অভেদ | শিষ্যার সাথে গুরুর জন্মজন্মান্তরের সম্পর্ক | শিষ্যার বিদেহমুক্তির পূর্বে গুরুর মুক্তি নেই | তিনি শিষ্যার সকল ভার গ্রহণ করেছেন, তার জন্মজন্মান্তরের পাপ, অর্থাৎ অশুভ কর্মফল, নিজকায়ায় গ্রহণ করে নীলকন্ঠ হয়েছেন | শিষ্যার সর্বোচ্চ আদর্শ তার গুরু, তার আদিমধ্যঅন্ত গুরু | এই বোধে উপনীত হলে পরম প্রাপ্তি, পরম শান্তি, ভূমানন্দ লাভ, ইষ্টদর্শনে, আত্মজ্ঞানে জীবন ধন্য | 🕉

বুদ্ধিজীবী নিয়ে খুব বাড়াবাড়ি করা হয় পশ্চিমবঙ্গে যা জীবনমুক্তকে নিয়ে করা উচিত | রবীন্দ্রনাথ ও বিদ্যাসাগরের উল্লেখ প্রায়ই করেন বুদ্ধিজীবীরা কিন্তু বিবেকানন্দের নাম ভুলেও বলেন না, তাঁর বাণী আলোচনা ত' দূরের কথা | এমনকি সত্যজিত রায় পর্যন্ত তাঁর কোন চলচ্চিত্রেই রামকৃষ্ণ-বিবেকানন্দের উল্লেখ করেন নি, তাঁদের ওপর তথ্যচিত্র করা ত' দূরের কথা | অগণিত বাঙালী রামকৃষ্ণ-বিবেকানন্দ অনুরাগী ও ভক্ত হওয়া সত্ত্বেও বলব যে এক বিরাট অংশের বঙ্গসন্তান আজও এই দুই দেবমানবকে একপ্রকার অগ্রাহ্য করেন অথবা এড়িয়ে চলেন | আর আশ্চর্যের বিষয় এই যে স্বয়ং রবীন্দ্রনাথ তাঁর 'চারিত্রপূজা' পুস্তিকায় রামমোহন, বিদ্যাসাগর, দেবেন্দ্রনাথ, যীশুখৃষ্ট, বুদ্ধদেব ও গান্ধীজীর চরিত্রাঙ্কন করেছেন বিস্তৃত প্রবন্ধসকলে কিন্তু রামকৃষ্ণ ও বিবেকানন্দকে বাদ দিয়েছেন | অথচ, রবীন্দ্রনাথ বুদ্ধ এবং খৃষ্ট, এই দুজনের কাউকেই কালের ব্যবধানহেতু দেখেন নি কিন্তু রামকৃষ্ণ ও বিবেকানন্দ তাঁর সমসাময়িক ব্যক্তিত্ব | তাঁদের প্রতি অতি অল্প কথায় শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করেছেন কিন্তু বিষদভাবে কিছুই লেখেন নি পরিচয় থাকা সত্ত্বেও | লিখলেন কে ? সুদূরনিবাসী জার্মান ভারতত্ত্ববিদ ম্যাক্সমিউলার ও দূরদেশী ফরাসী সাহিত্যিক রোঁমা রোঁলা | তাই বোধ হয় বাঙালী বোধশূণ্য জড়বাদী বহুলাংশে যার ফলশ্রুতি তার আধ্যাত্মিক বিস্মরণে যার আবার প্রতিফলন ঘটেছে ও ঘটে চলেছে রামকৃষ্ণ-বিবেকানন্দের প্রতি প্রত্যক্ষ অবহেলায় |
