SANSKRIT SHLOKAS
SANSKRIT SHLOKAS
1. Īshvara sarvabhūtānang hriddeshey Arjun tishthhati
Bhrāmayān sarvabhūtāni yantra rūrhāni Māyā
God seated in the heart of all moves them like instruments mounted on Maya.
2. Dharmakṣetre kurukṣetre samavetā yuyutsavaḥ |
māmakāḥ pāṇḍavāścaiva kimakurvata sañjaya ||
In the field of righteousness, in the field of the Kurus, the warriors having assembled,
What did my sons and the sons of Pāndu do, tell me, O Sanjaya.
3. अनन्यचेता: सततं यो मां स्मरति नित्यश: |
तस्याहं सुलभ: पार्थ नित्ययुक्तस्य योगिन: || 14||
ananya-chetāḥ satataṁ yo māṁ smarati nityaśhaḥ
tasyāhaṁ sulabhaḥ pārtha nitya-yuktasya yoginaḥ
The yogi who being bereft of all other thoughts remembers Me ever, I am easily attained by such a one of constant communion with Me.
4. अनन्याश्चिन्तयन्तो मां ये जना: पर्युपासते |
तेषां नित्याभियुक्तानां योगक्षेमं वहाम्यहम् || 22||
ananyāśh chintayanto māṁ ye janāḥ paryupāsate
teṣhāṁ nityābhiyuktānāṁ yoga-kṣhemaṁ vahāmyaham
Those who are completely absorbed in Me in contemplation and exclusively so, of such ever-bonded souls I protect their possessions and bear unto them what they lack so that they may attain spiritual fulfilment.
5. वज्रादपि कठोराणि मृदूनि कुसुमादपि।
लोकोत्तराणां चेतांसि को हि विज्ञातुमर्हति॥
Vajrādapi kathhorāni mriduni kusumādapi
Lokottarānāng chetāngsi ko hi vijnātumarhati
Harder than the thunderbolt (of Indra) and softer than the flower, beyond the conception and comprehension of the commoner are the minds of superior souls.
