Srila Prabhupāda's Guru, Srila Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvati Thākur, who had commissioned his disciple Abhaycharan (later Prabhupāda) to carry the message of the Gauriya Vaishnava version of the Vedas to the West. Prabhupāda set sail in 1965 at the age of 69 and over the next 12 years circumvented the world 14 times to spread the Vaishnava spiritual message, in the process publishing 80 volumes of spiritual literature translated into 30 languages, establishing Krishna temples across the globe and founding a spiritual community called the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) with its unique Vedic way of community living, an entirely revolutionary societal order in this modern materialistic age. Prabhupāda passed away in 1977 but his message persists as does his order of Vaishnavas, monastics and novitiates which continues to propagate Krishna's life and pastimes to humanity at large with a missionary zeal missing among other Hindu religious orders.

43. Sri Ramakrishna is the hope of humanity. His all-embracing love will conquer. All opposition will be overcome. The world will capitulate before his boundless love. His Age has but begun. But his mission shall seek fresh channels under diverse garbs, even not bearing his name but in fulfilment of his ideals. Sri Ramakrishna is God. Can God be limited to one mission? His mission is one, that of spiritualisation of the whole of humanity within evolutionary bounds. And his missions are many in terms of individuals and organisations channeling his ideas and ideals, his energy derivatives through diverse modes and means. Ramakrishna is coming alive in the masses and we are thrilling to its dewy efflorescence.
44. Miracles are all material. They do not prove the existence of God or that the miracle-monger is at all spiritual. These are yogic powers quite easily attainable through a bit of spiritual practice but these lead the spiritual aspirant away from the divine destination, the spiritual goal of God-realisation.
45. The way Srila Prabhupāda spread Sanātan spiritual culture across the world, no other Hindu preacher has done thus far barring the prime mover of the movement in Swami Vivekananda. Prabhupāda's movement has been all-comprehensive in its civilisational sweep despite its philosophical outreach on account of its sectarian attitude being rather limited. But there has been for once an unapologetic attitude in propagating the Vedic Dharma without suiting it to western convenience. The westerners have appreciated this Hinduness more than the quasi-Hindu, quasi-westernised version of it propagated by other reputed spiritual organisations.
46. It is so difficult to start a significant spiritual movement. Srila Prabhupāda did it. He literally conquered the hearts and minds of hundreds of thousands of western youths and transformed their lives, reorienting them along Vedic lines unapologetically unlike the monks of some other reputed spiritual organisations who cannot but pander to the vanities of the West and present a refashioned western variety of Hindu spirituality. Prabhupāda's undiluted Vedic presentation left a deep impress on the disillusioned chaotic youth of the sixties and the seventies of the last century and brought forth a movement the like of which no predecessor or successor of Prabhupāda has ever before or since managed. When a man lives upto what he preaches sincerely and without apology, he creates waves in the world which no worldly apology of spiritual preachers can achieve. Prabhupāda was unsuccessful in impressing the western intelligentsia but, that apart, he did sway vast numbers to the Sanātan Vaishnav fold through his life and teachings in the West. He gave them a new civilisation, the Sanātan civilisation of eternal India, whose appeal became irresistible for the West sinking in the mire of materialism and gasping for a breath of fresh air.
47. Keep doing good work and all evil will fall away. Evil persists not where good prevails.
48. The life of slumber is limited. The awakening must come.
49. To serve the spiritual cause one must literally obliterate one's ego. Thereafter naturally all desire for name and fame, recognition and honour will fall off.

74. Hinduism must be ardently practised and boldly preached. Tremendous missionary zeal is necessary. We must conquer the world spiritually. And all Hindus who have largely by force been perverted from their faith to Islam over fourteen centuries must be brought back to the Mother Faith. Not a single more conversion from Hinduism to Islam and Christianity ought to take place. The solidarity of the motherland, already partitioned and weakened, demands it.

84. Teaching spiritual things in the simplest manner possible is what appeals to the common mass of humanity. But the standard must not be lowered. The ideal must be strictly adhered to. The message must not be diluted with worldly compromise. And, above all, character must be manifested in the teacher, in the preacher, that radiant being made to shine through the gross cover of the body, that electric personality made manifest that is not only the conduit of higher ideas but is also the embodied validation of the spiritual principles preached. But through all such abstruse principles preached the simplicity of the highest truth of God must not be lost sight of nor emphasised any less than than the most.

THE VOICE OF TRUTH
We want a voice of authority and not apology, one who can stamp his authority on what he says, his authority stemming from experience and lived truth rather than truth read in books but unverified in experience. There must be power in his affirmations, a thunderous roll in his remarks that does not pander to the vanities of society, does not bow down to political or religious authority but hammers out truth as it happened, as it is happening and as it is in essence. No compromise, no apology, simply the truth pouring out like volcanic lava to metamorphose society unto a higher order of terrestrial and ethereal existence.

REST IN PEACE, THOU, 'REST IN PEACE'
How can one rest in peace when the swinging pendulum unceasing ticks time and atoms keep rolling to congregate and dissolve? Is there any rest anywhere save in final liberation when the fetters have fallen, the universe has melted away, God has died and Man awakened to his undying Being in his own Godhead when he witnesses his Self as the God he had always sought? Till then how can rest be? How peace? How 'Rest in peace'? Does life cease in a single stroke that peace shall irrational follow? It is not a single season that makes the year nor a lone lifetime that composes corporeal existence. The Abrahamic religions are wrong, far far off the mark in their estimation of truth. Thus the fanciful 'Rest in peace'. There is no peace in Phenomena, Māyā. Peace alone abides in the Absolute, the Brahman.

SEPARATE ADHERENT FROM IDEOLOGY
Anti-ideology need not mean anti-adherent. An adherent may have been by birth trapped into abiding by a certain ideology and cannot will his way out of it. But he may in terms of other human qualities be an excellent individual with a great capacity for spiritual unfolding which is right now being circumstantially impeded. But the ideology he is by birth and indoctrination being made to follow may be rotten to the core, anti-human, anti-life and utterly tribal and archaic with no place in a modern world of universal values, non-sectarian and human. To separate individual from ideology is then imperative. This done, it is easy enough to weed out the degenerate doctrines and arrive at a reformed view of life and truth. If the ideology resists reformation, it will have to be left alone to die a desolate death in the desert sands of disuse. Meanwhile, evolution carries on, humanity progresses.

READ THE GANGA IN THE GOMUKH
We need to read Sri Ramakrishna's and Swami Vivekananda's message direct and not through the lens of feeble preachers coming after them and interpreting them. The Master and his Apostle are direct enough, simple enough for easy understanding and need no intermediaries to interpret their message in the light of their fractional understanding for us to swallow and digest with altered understanding. This is how the messages of great spiritual teachers are lost to humanity as mediocre men of shallow intellect and inferior understanding take upon themselves the superior charge of instructing such to people. Come off this business of learning from such latter-day lights and go back to the original. Read Ramakrishna and Vivekananda as they truly were and not as they are made out to be in the fractured understanding, in the fractional interpretation, in the altered presentation as per the convenience of latter-day preachers and writers. Read the source books. Let none stand between Thakur-Swamiji and you. These original works are well available. Avail of them.

HEAL THE HURT
When a person is in deep distress, you do not scold him or ignore him or simply cast him away as so much trash. Humanity demands deeper empathy, acceptance and love that heals and restores health. Each person is divine and needs to be included in the scheme of things, not schemed out of reckoning or simply sold for a few copper coins that are valued more than flesh and blood. Life is a slit unto the vast background reality that is divine. Humanity is but the intermediate state, an opening unto the trinity of existence-consciousness-bliss. Must you fail to appreciate each life that is a beam of the infinite optical spectra rambling through countless pathways in countless universes, up, down and sideways? Do not neglect any. Each one is the Most High coming in myriad shapes through mystifying Māyā. Recognise the Real in the phenomenal, your own in distant deflected beings. The blood of immortality flows in all waiting to be spilled unto union with the Ākāsh Gangā. The stars blaze but appear to twinkle, such is the poetry of life, such the movie screened in the firmament of fertile dreams of fullest fruition in the fullness of time. Therefore, neglect none, be kind to all and loving in varying degrees to all who injure not life's possibilities in people. Read poetry in prose, melody in dry score and love in the lily that fades not with time. Bliss it is to be born, bliss to live and bliss to merge in the Mother who never forsakes. I come, Mother, I come.
