INSPIRATIONAL PASSAGES
INSPIRATIONAL PASSAGES
You are a glorious soul. A wonderful mother, cultured, soulful, sensitive and loving. You are dutiful beyond measure and you will be rewarded for it. As your Guru I am proud of you. Work intelligently and with diligence. It will all work out fine. My blessings always attend on you and yours. đ
I mean it. If you feel inspired, then you are my true disciple holding me in your veneration as veritable God. These are not words but bloodborne perceptions about the glorious one that you are. Bless you ever and ever! đ
You are a free soul. You have always been so. You will always remain so. You were never bound, are not bound nor will you ever be. It is delusion that you hallucinate this bondage. Now listen to your Guru's words and affirm your freedom. Declare that you are free and live like that. đ
You are a brilliant bilingual writer, prose and poetry both, an artist of attribute extraordinaire, a thinker of great depth and all this with a self-effacing ease, an ennobling humility that makes your achievements apparently inconspicuous, visible though they are to the perceptive eye. You underestimate yourself and it is here that I will bear upon you to bring out the best that is in you. Else, it will be talent yet again lost in the melee of mediocrity that life generally is all about. To that glorious present and future then with an abundance of appreciation and attending blessings. đ
Fear not. God is there with you. Who God graces with constant company, more than even shadow can but does so with existential constancy, can such a one ever come to harm? đ
Dawn it is and hope shines with it. Be merry that dark is at an end. Rejoice in the streaming rays that bathe the air and cleanse the soul of all dross that affect it. đ
There is a beauty in your writings which I cannot match, a certain artistry of a painter using his brush and with words and phrases stroking images exquisitely poetic, as if the lines have become enlivened into music that pierces the heart. Do keep writing and preserving the same. đ
There comes a time when the nerves are so saturated with worries that people just won't be inspired. May such a sad state never befall you is the prayer of this insignificant soul, a dust particle on the sands of time! đ

MESSAGES GALORE ... 128
MESSAGES GALORE ... 128
1. Shankar, the great Bengali novelist of 'Kato AjÄnÄre' and 'Chouronghee' fame who passed away on 20 February, 2026 at 92 years age, had visited us in 1977 when I was 16 years old. Had a brief interaction with him when he talked to me on literature---Bankim, Rabindranath, Sharatchandra and Jibonananda Das. Illuminating experience, still etched in my memory. There have been similar such rare moments in my life when I came face to face with greatness. His humility revealed his greatness which, though, dawned on me in af'er years.
2. Value doubly the one that values you.
3. Love is a giving without thought of return.
4. It is the heart alone that conquers.
5. Wake, work, wither, sleep--what a life deep!
6. Solestar shines in the celestial sky.

12. Human relation must not be vitiated by commerce.
13. Gain being prompted by greed. Was that the need?
14. God has infinite patience, fathomless love.
15. The concentrated are calm, the calm concentrated.
16. The ignorant ignore. The wise respond.
17. O those who wear human forms, whither thy humanity?
18. He who cannot stand on truth, his character has not been formed.
19. Power is in the soul, not in the body. Be soulful.
20. Know Hinduism from a realised soul.
21. God is man's innermost essence. He/She/It is existence-consciousness-bliss absolute.
22. āĻĒ্āϰāϤিāĻি āĻŦ্āϰাāĻš্āĻŽāĻŖ āĻĒāϰিāĻŦাāϰ āϏাংāϏ্āĻৃāϤিāĻ āĻাāĻŦে āύāώ্āĻ āĻšā§ে āĻেāĻে āϏংāϏ্āĻৃāϤ āĻāϰ্āĻা āĻেāĻĄ়ে āĻĻিā§ে | āĻŦ্āϰাāĻš্āĻŽāĻŖāϤ্āĻŦেāϰ āϏāϰ্āĻŦāύাāĻļে āĻাāϰāϤেāϰ āϏāϰ্āĻŦāύাāĻļ āϏাāϧāύ āĻāĻেāĻে, āĻāĻে āĻāϞেāĻে |
23. In the dark night of despair, Lord, you are my only hope. This night shall pass and dawn awaken a fresher morn.
24. Children, study to save our sinking civilisation.
25. Be deeper. Levity of bearing is killing India.
26. Do not take a creative artist for granted. His trials and tribulations, tears and torment, his tortured self's lonely outpourings have all gone in to make who he is, an enigma, an alien, a mystery bound in measureless love. Love alone he comprehends and love he serves to all who care to receive what he of his boundless bounty gives, careless of return.
27. As yet some close ones care not to read my messages. Their loss is my loss as well. So difficult to organise this disorganised mass that Hindus are.
28. May peace prevail!
29. Do not fear. Be secure. Be alert. Stay safe.
30. Prayer must be peaceful and never violent.
31. Busyness is a big lie. It is business as usual.
32. Enter this world and get trapped. BhulbhulaiyÄ!
33. Springtime has set in. Joy it is to be alive.
34. War is dangerous business, price paid in blood.
35. Mature people are peaceful.
36. Karma recoils, will recoil on all.
37. The destiny of man is determined by his deeds.
38. Your hard work will build future India. Work!
39. War your way to solution? Never possible.
40. Vice begets violence, violence vice.
41. Word of honour kept makes a man honourable.
42. Communication (Yoga) is spirituality.
43. Know yourself to be the Spirit Divine.
44. Busyness is often a disease. God finds time.
45. Rudeness exhibited before one's Guru is sin.
46. The war will stop. Peace will prevail.
47. Selfishness is sin.
48. This selfishness is killing the world.
49. The world could not have been selfish were the individual not selfish?
50. One neglects communication at one end to communicate at another end. All are ruled by the exigency of the hour and fall prey to its deathly grip.
51. Why rot in a well? Live in the sea.
52. Unselfishness is spirituality.
53. The selfish cannot love.
54. Love is higher than work.
55. Duty is desire camouflaged.
56. The slave follows routine and remains bound.
57. Thakur found time for all, was never busy.
58. What you neglect, you lose.
59. The blind are bound by duty. The seer lives free.
60. One finds time for everybody but one's Guru.
61. Of what avail is education if it produces slaves?
62. The arrogant, the fault-finder cannot love.
63. Begging is not the language of God. God dictates terms.
64. Selfishness makes oneself the centrepiece of life
65. The Hrishi merges in society, Prakritileen.
66. Do not devalue the gem. Rectify your estimation.
67. They all finally betray. Still love all. ❤️
68. What work, what duty, what exigency of the hour binds thee, friend? Act in freedom. Give up this falsity, this despicable desire masquerading as work.
69. Trade is all that matters? In every deed a deal?
70. The master lives, loves, never the slave.
71. Inconstancy is materialism, constancy spirituality.
72. The one whose moon has been eclipsed lives in perpetual dark.
73. They talk so much, they feel so little.
74. āĻāĻāĻŦাāύেāϰ āϏাāĻĨেāĻ āϏ্āĻŦাāϰ্āĻĨেāϰ āϏāĻŽ্āĻŦāύ্āϧ ? āĻļুāϧু āĻাāĻšিāĻĻা ?
75.
Never in life felt busy.
Work is fun, easy.
76. One can sense at a distance. All space is within.
77. The Ätman has been eclipsed by MÄyÄ.
78. Dark (KÄli) is Light, sheer depth of darkness!
79. The known is the unknown.
80. Every step of dance, every beat of the drum is pulsation of the Divine. Shiva dances as KÄli on His own prostrate form stretching across universes.
81. The devoted will prosper, the neglectful flounder.
82. Isn't it a shame that people are so ungrateful?
83. Solitude is better than company selfish.
84. Mother hiding in the dark writes Her script in light.
85. āĻĻুāĻĻিāύ āĻŦাāĻĻেāĻ āϏāĻŦ āĻĢāĻ্āĻাāĻাāϰ | āϤāĻŦু āĻāϰ āϏাāĻাāĻ্āĻে āϝেāύ āĻিāϰāĻাāϞ āĻāĻাāύেāĻ āĻĨাāĻāĻŦে |
86. āĻীāĻŦāύ্āϤ āĻŦিāĻ্āϰāĻš āĻেāĻĄ়ে āĻাāĻে āĻĒূāĻা āĻāϰ'?
87. National academic standard is sharply declining.
88. It is best to spend this colourful day reflecting on the glorious life of Sri Chaitanya MahÄprabhu. Shubha DolpÅĢrnima to all!
89. God is your essence. You are God.
90. The way to teach children is to affirm their divinity effectively. Affirmation done, awakening will take place over due course. KÄlenÄtmani vindati.
91. Festivity is fine. But whither spirituality?
92. Man is in the savage state still fighting wars.
93. Marksist in childhood, moneyist in adulthood, mercyist in old age--this is the life-mode of material man.
94. Nirgachchhati jagajjÄlÄt pinjarÄdiva kesharÄĢ.
Breaking through the network of MÄyÄ, he emerges a mighty lion that has broken through the bars of its confinement.
95. You are a free soul. You have always been so. You will always remain so. You were never bound, are not bound nor will you ever be. It is delusion that you hallucinate this bondage. Now listen to your Guru's words and affirm your freedom. Declare that you are free and live like that. đ
96. Chaitanya, Ramakrishna & ___? A 3rd incarnation ?
97. My eternal life's programme has been set. Now I am on song.
98. āĻিāĻাāϰী āĻŽাāύুāώāĻে āĻিāĻ্āώা āĻāϰাā§ |
99. As yet violence rules the world. Sheer savagery!
100. What is lost to man is preserved in Nature.
101. What the pen records, the heart feels more, words failing to express emotion.
102. Single line fast-flipping Hindi film songs celebrating Holi. What a decline in spiritual culture!
103. We are such a decadent race today. There is no solemnity, no aesthetic attribute in our religious festivals which are characterised by degradingly loud and vulgar Hindi film music rendered in abysmally unmusical manner with fast-flipping songs sounding heavy over modern loudspeakers that create more noise pollution than soothe the ears. Simply distasteful and unholy!
104. Are people serious about the nation's progress? Can hooligans build a nation? If this is common culture, what remains of national decline?
105. Awake? Not yet. The senses are, not you. Sleep then.
106. Holiganism going on. [4 March, 2026, Holi]
107. Breadth of the heart is depth of the soul. Spirituality is largely the largeness of heart. In the depths of the heart the Lord resides.
108. The world needs to be rid of selfishness which comes as exploitation, oppression and war. Peace can only prevail when man lives to learn and love.
109. Children, read story books. You'll enjoy and learn.
110. Satyajit Ray's movies must be seen multiple times for proper appreciation of the filmmaker's genius. The last of the Renaissance figures of Bengal.
111. From Rammohun Roy to Satyajit Ray ran the Bengal Renaissance.
112. When will we be quality conscious? Damaged books shamelessly delivered while full charges are taken. How many times may a buyer ask for replacement?
113. Nature is nothing but the universal set of hurdles in the way of the advancing soul en route to freedom.
114. When there is time at hand, you squander it. You'll repent when the hour is gone provided you have the heart to feel.
115. Waste not a moment of this ultraprecious life. Live every moment to the full in learning, loving ❤️ and diving to the depths of your being. Advance!
116. Hindus must marry earlier and have more children.
117. To facilitate bigger Hindu families foundations must come forward and provide medical and academic facilities. The cost of living must be reduced.
118. The 'sundaram' principle must be emphasised in India. We are generally lacking in aesthetic sense which is why our packaging of products is so poor, leave aside the quality of the products themselves. A certain casualness of approach, a lack of adequate care pervades our presentation in every sphere which is unfortunate for a historically seminal civilisation like India. We need to radically shift gear and amend the existent order of things. đ
119. Love is the gravity that holds life. Love is God.
120. Meditate to peace and bliss. Chant the mantra.
121. One's word of honour must be kept. Otherwise one loses character and credibility both. Truthfulness is the bedrock of character. Be truthful.
122. This day [6 March, 1987] was born a great soul. Happy birthday, Rohini! Let the day roll over. Then savour this moment of first awakening and freshen its flavour in the af'er light of reflection. For the first moment never repeats itself save in memory that has been lost to the soul but lives on in memory from stories heard from the lips of loving elders who were witness to that grand event, the moment of first reckoning. ❤️
123. Busyness that bars communication is bad for business.
124. Is life a business that you hold commerce at such a premium?
125. Busyness is not busyness. It is business.
126. God is busiest but is never so with His devotee.
127. The pure are beautiful. Beauty belongs to God.
128. Spirituality is not business that you can make a quick deal of it or even a long bargain. All calculation laid aside, come to the House of God.
129. Live in the world of dreams. And when the dream smashes, you will know who you are. Till then enjoy and suffer your delusive dreams.
130. For some life is eternal merriment of momentary dreams. For some others life is perpetual misery, a never-ending nightmare. Both have missed the mark and serve their sentence on earth. Slaves to life's burden of joy and woe, give up this bondage and break free.
131. "The camel bites the thorn-shrub, bleeds, yet bites it again." ~ Sri Ramakrishna
132. If life is business, let's wind it up.
133. Do not westernise yourself. Strike your SanÄtani roots. Absorb what is best of the West but hold your indigenous ground.
134. Love is all-acceptance. ❤️
135. When love fails, logic comes.
136. Will reason gain access into the mansion of intuitive understanding?
137. āĻļ্āϰāĻĻ্āϧাāĻ āϏāϰ্āĻŦāϏ্āϝ | āĻļিāĻ্āώা āϤাāϰāĻ āĻĒ্āϰāĻাāĻļ |
138. We are a large unwieldy country going haywire in diverse directions. National concentration must be improved. Greater cohesion, solidarity needed.
139. Cultured Hindus should have 4 children per couple.
140. Disobedience leads to despair. The Guru must be obeyed.
141. There are some who spare time for one after he is dead and gone. They then spare a moment or two reflecting on his life in ceremonial recollection.
142. āĻ াāĻুāϰ āĻĻাāϏāϰূāĻĒে āĻĨাāĻāϤে āĻŦāϞেāĻিāϞেāύ | āϤাāĻ āĻāĻি |
143. Consistency is necessary. Hard work alone pays dividend. Laziness, negligence of duty inevitably fails one. Work, work, work.
144. A long view is necessary. Farsightedness wins.
145. Life is not business. There is a depth to it.
146. Why seek anything when you yourself are God?
147. There is a great deal of business today in every sphere of life including education which is being destroyed by it.
148. If greatness is to be achieved, listen to the greats. Their wisdom goes beyond achieving temporal ends and looks at transcendence in the face. Follow!
149. Accept each one as he is. Do not impose. Love.
150. The life of one is often the sustenance of many.
151. Short gains and long losses. Bad bargain.
152. The busy never find time. They are enslaved to engagements. The free soul rules over time. He responds instantly to all who care to call on him.
153. Intelligent is the one who does not strike a deal with life. Life is not business.
154. If valencies are not learnt, how can chemistry be?
155. Spiritual success is speedy for the one intensely devoted to the ideal. Fullest focus brings fastest results. But slowly build the base. đ
156. Myopia can destroy a person in the long run.
157. Digestion of food is necessary, digestion of knowledge imperative. The former failing upsets a person. The latter failing may disrupt civilisation.
158. A million lies are being uttered online everyday to earn money. Is this civilisation? No, this is decadence, degeneracy, decline in character. Greed!
159. If life holds a truth it is this that it is wastefully passing by. Just think how much the greats have achieved in one lifetime and how barren we are.
160. Value a thing while it is there. Later, ruing will not return the gift.
161. The river of reveries will keep flowing. Ford it now or never.
162. Why be a slave to desires? Rule over your mind.
163. Love does not calculate. Where it does, it is business, not love. There is no double entry in love, no suspense account. Its sheet is perpetually balanced with the faintest quivering there which is the vibration of manifested love, its body hidden in the depths of the quasi-Brahman consciousness. The Unmanifest holds more than the Manifest. So, stop doing deals with life.
164. The means not being adopted, the end is never served.
165. Faith is that intense aspirational mood seeking perfection.
166. Live like a queen and assert your womanhood. But be feminine as true queenliness demands.
167. Be a man. Yield not to cowardice.
168. Man killing man senselessly. The horrors of war!
169. May health come to all! May the ailing heal!
170. Communication is the soul of community.
171. āĻŦিāώā§āĻāϰ্āĻŽে āĻĒ্āϰাāĻŖ āĻেāϞে āĻĒ্āϰাāĻŖেāϰ āĻāϰ্āĻŽāĻŦিāώā§েāϰ āĻি āĻšāĻŦে ?

173. The world must not be held hostage to whims.
174. Toxic ideologies must all go. Time to humanise.
175. āĻ াāĻুāϰ, āϏ্āĻŦাāĻŽীāĻী āĻĻুāĻāύেāĻ āĻিāϞেāύ āĻ্āϰিāĻেāĻেāϰ āĻĒāϰিāĻাāώাā§ all-rounder.
176. Hail sovereign of the earth, arise and rule!
177. In a war of fools the bigger fool always wins.
178. Purity seeks peace, perfidy war.
179. āĻŽāύেāϰ āĻĒ্āϰāĻļাāύ্āϤিāĻ āĻĒāĻŦিāϤ্āϰāϤা āϤāĻĨা āĻĒ্āϰāĻ্āĻাāϰ āϞāĻ্āώāĻŖ |

181. āĻŦāĻšāĻŽাāύ āύāĻĻী āĻĢিāϰে āϤাāĻাā§ āύা | āĻীāĻŦāύāĻ āϤাāĻ |
182. When life fails, death delivers.
183. Such a deal of hypocrisy civilisation is!
184. Constancy is love.
185. Deathless you are if you are the Spirit. KÄli! KÄli! KÄli!
186. This day a great soul was born. Thakur's son. [Posted on 8 March, 2026 -- Rajarshi Ghosh born on 8 March, 1996]
187. Love transcends necessity.
188. Why plunge the world into a catastrophic war?
189. The world has been held hostage to uncivilised forces for far too long. Force itself is uncivilised. Real freedom constitutes true civilisation.
190. When the world is perilously close to catastrophe, what are the famed VedÄntists doing? Witnessing the unreality of phenomena?
191. Hypocrisy is the other name of civilisation that righteously kills.
192. The resurgence of Asia despite western oppression is inevitable.
193. Persia will survive to triumph.
194. Why hit oil depots and pollute the environment?
195. National interest must not supercede global interest.

POESY: DAWN IT IS
DAWN IT IS
Dawn it is and time to wake.
Dreams do fade for life to make.
Birds, they chirp as dawn doth break.
Streams in light and sloth doth shake.
Awake, awake, 'tis time to take
A snapshot free for the thirst to slake
Of captive eyes now afloat in the lake
That stretches beyond the dull dark fake.

MESSAGES GALORE ... 127
MESSAGES GALORE ... 127
1. Great souls are those that are grateful.
2. Fearlessly proceed. Charaiveti!
3. There is no end to karma till jnÄna eliminates it.
4. Extricate yourself from the whirlpool of others' thoughts. Be free thinkers, creative to the core. Be original. Only then can you reach the Origin.
5. The life of one has the deeds of many.
6. Extricate the AvatÄr from organisation. God is without institutional appendage. Let devotion be devoid of organisational trappings.
7. Oneness is never achieved through effort. Oneness either is or is not.
8. Genius unfolds sometimes in constrained conditions, being ignited by circumstantial inhibitions and responding to the challenges thrown.
9. Dawn calls for the dewdrops. Dewdrops call for dawn.
10. The right call never comes at the right moment. Endless wait wanes expectation.
11. Character calls for serious response, subtle sensitivity, empathy that heals. Else, life is a dreary desert fit for cactuses, not men.
12. āĻāĻ āĻ াāĻুāϰেāϰ āĻāύ্āĻŽāϤিāĻĨি | āĻāĻŽাāĻĻেāϰ āύāĻŦāĻāύ্āĻŽ āĻš'āĻ |
13. Today is the birthday of Sri Ramakrishna as per the almanac. May we be reborn unto godliness and glory!
14. Booing that happens in the British Parliament is so unsavoury, quite unbecoming of a decent discourse.
15. Non-reaction is the ideal way to peace.
16. Let busyness not become a disease incurable.
17. It is best not to depend on anyone.
18. When the ego becomes wafer-thin, God comes and fulfils.
19. Ramakrishna was a scupltor of the soul.
20. Humility is one's greatest defence against aggression coming from unseemly quarters, non-reaction one's best armour against possible predation.
21. If there is a friend I know, it is this body that I have borne since birth. My constant companion it has been, is, will be 'till death do us part'.
22. When candles die, the wax reforms for a fresh ignition. Thus the cycle goes on ad infinitum.
23. I write, some read, some even give the ❤️ sign, some don't. But they are all welcome to the chamber of my thoughts, ideas, ideals, inspiration.
24. Life is of two days---the first of expansion without and the second of contraction within till the core consciousness is reached.
25. 'Thank you' to all who are supporting me ❤️ily.
26. Happy b'day to one whose sunrise it was today.
27. Value loved ones while they are there.
28. Through the dark of one fateful night Naren and Thakur sang 'ÄmÄr MÄ tvam he TÄrÄ'. Naren's resistance to KÄli broke down. He surrendered to Her.
29. The sky assumes its colours, then darkens again.
30. You can never keep up with the flowing Ganga. You may dip in it sometimes.
31. I only wish I had a second me.
32. The busier the being, the more time he has at his dosposal till he totally conquers time.
33. Life is ceaseless, without beginning, without end.
34. If at times you find a full-stop left out, know it is deliberate to accomodate a bolder type.
35. When deeply hurt, stay calm. Do not react.
36. One must remember no one owes one anything. But one does owe everyone so much. It is with a deep disquiet that realisation comes till peace prevails.
37. Is man the master or the slave?
38. If sadness strikes, know happiness is at hand.
39. Sri Ramakrishna is the Ganga of spirituality. Take a dip in it and be pure.
40. Blessed be they who are truly devoted!
41. Devotion to Guru? Who has? The one who values him above work. For such a one illumination awaits, for none else till such devotion awakes.
42. Miserliness of ❤️ is not good. It creates misery.
43. Breadth of ❤️, width of mind, depth of soul---the holy trinity of attributes that takes one to the vision of one's Self, the ÄtmÄ.
44. It is a sea of souls in perpetual procession.
45. Reject Nature to conquer it. She will yield.
46. Thakur disliked miserliness.
47. Busyness is another name for pursuit of desires.
48. For most ideas do not matter. Money matters. The gross grips the masses, the subtle eludes. And yet it is the subtle that fathers the gross. Culture is scarce in most. Thus civilisations rise, thus they in due course fall.
49. The busy can never love; the loving are never busy.
50. People are just too busy to hold communication.
51. When my hour runs out, hold me in memory fading.
52. How can the material man know the Spirit?
53. Do not expect anything from anybody. Just give.
54. Work, work, never-ending work! Is it work after all that keeps one busy or is it pure pursuit of pleasure that largely contributes?

Sugata Bose@YouTube [BBC NEWS/Roland Hughes] : Amit Chaudhuri and Chandak Sengupta, you being Bengalis should lap up the opportunity to learn how to pronounce Satyajit Ray's surname properly from the Westerners in this show. It is Raaye and not Ray, and it is quite a shame that you should be mispronouncing thus. And Chandak, you are Satyajit Ray's biographer at that. Shame, both of you!
Sugata Bose@YouTube [Adnan Parvez] : I am surprised to see Satyajit Ray pronounce his surname as Ray instead of Raaye which it truly is, a fact made amply clear by Audrey Hepburn while announcing the Honorary Oscar Award for Lifetime Achievement for the master filmmaker months before his death. So, the popular mispronunciation of Satyajit's surname was partly on account of his own doing as well which under the then circumstances may have seemed alright but does sound odd today. At any rate I believe Satyajit Ray never mispronounced his father Sukumar Ray's surname thus but pronounced it right as Raaye.

Sugata Bose@YouTube [Adda Station--Alokananda Roy (Kanchenjungha)] : Why does the interviewer interrupt the flow of the interviewee's recollection?
Sugata Bose@Sulekha Basu : You are a luminous soul and you write with complete creativity which is rather rare. Swamiji had said, "Our Master was so original and each one of us will have to be so or nothing." This creativity, this originality of thinking and expression thereof in beautifully worded phrases and passages your writings are replete with, makes you a worthy bearer of Swamiji's charge as generation after generation his followers in their individual and collective capacity carry forward the beacon for humanity in its onward evolution, the torch of civilisation illumining the path through the darkness of the cosmos. Read 'The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda' daily and the blaze of illumination will be on you. With a fervent aspiration and the seer's vision Swamiji had anticipated the appearance of great women in India who would combine the spiritual traditions of our beloved motherland and the social freedom of the West, the perfect synthesis of unsullied purity and executive independence, a la GÄrgi, Maitreyee, LeelÄvati, UbhaybhÄrati who would usher in a new civilisation here in PunyabhÅĢmi BhÄrat whose ripples would spread to the remotest corners of the globe. When I behold in you the early dewdrops of this awakening dawn of India's freedom with its spherical cast reflecting a whole world of chromatic possibilities, I feel gratified that the sage's prophecies and promises have not been in vain. Carry on in your own way your self-culture and with it spread the fragrance around as dawn brightens to morn and then blazes to a brilliant noon. In that high noon of stellar becoming may you be fulfilled unto light and freedom! đ
Sugata Bose@YouTube [Meghdhut---Goutam Ghosh's documentary on Satyajit Ray] : After Audrey Hepburn, despite being a westerner, has pronounced it right as RÄyey, what is AparnÄ Sen doing calling the maestro Ray (as in 'day') as he himself had during his lifetime unfortunately addressed himself to possibkt perpetuate the practice, dare I say?
Sugata Bose@Arijit Majumder : I hope you have not mistaken me to be Netaji's grand nephew Prof. Sugata Bose who is my namesake and who most people somehow confuse me with. I am of humbler descent, proud that I am though of my own ancestral lineage which ultimately is the common inheritance of man in his source, course and confluence of flow as we tend to the divine destination whence we have sprung. Thanks nonetheless for your valued appreciation which is fillip for my furtherance as an insignificant writer of sorts aspiring to make a mark on my readers with a view to striking sympathetic chords to awaken a common consciousness in combating the corruption of the times. đ
Sugata Bose@Bruce Hilliger : I am indebted to you, my senior in this quest for Truth the Ramakrishna way which is intensely individual as it is coordinated collective. đ
Sugata Bose@Khalid Umar : Hope so but I do not think it will be quite that easy an apostasy en masse, for culture has its consequential roots embedded deep in even a revolutionary society. It will take several more decades. Meanwhile, Islam will reinvent itself to once more coax unsuspecting Iranians into its progressively fanatical fold. It works like gravity along an inclined plane that dips progressively under its own weight till it becomes a perilous precipice persecuting people with its original precepts which are hardly principled enough to be called principles. But Islam will fail and eventually fall, for its doctrine is incompatible with modernity, and modernity is an irreversible entity that will either be adhered to or such ideologies as are patently regressive will be cast aside as so much waste material into the cosmic bin. đ
Sugata Bose@Reata Kal : Thoroughly read the Qur'an, the Hadees and the Sira. Then activism thus will be well grounded. Knowledge is power. Islam as Deen must be understood, its inspiration, intent, aims and objectives clearly comprehended. Alongside read Sita Ram Goel and Ram Swarup, K.S. Lal and Jadunath Sircar, relevant material that will help build foundational knowledge necessary to wage this ideological war. Your posts are pertinent and I am happy to have discovered them. May Swamiji bless you! đ Hindu!
Sugata Bose@Reata Kal : 'Joy Bangla' was coined to counter West Pakistan's Urdu thrust on East Pakistani Bengalees. But after independence and the creation of Bangladesh the slogan persisted to prevent the Pakistan-backers, the RazÄkÄrs, in Bangladesh from gaining the political upper hand. Mujib's half-hearted attempts to sort of secularise Bangladesh, primarily to keep his seat intact, not forgetting his fundamental Islamic stance as evident in the Great Calcutta Killing of 1946 followed by the NoÄkhÄli Hindu genocide which spread throughout East Bengal forcing Partition ('ladke lenge Pakistan') and his post-liberation (1971) allowance of progressive Islamisation of Bangladesh must be critically scrutinised, especially his damning of Bangladeshi Hindus as 'MalÄun' or the accursed infidel bereft of Allah's grace. That Mujib himself perished to the political forces in 1975 does not absolve him of his political perfidies following the dictates of the Divine Deen for which Akhanda BhÄratvarsha got diabolically dismembered with its endless genocidal implications for Hindus in Bangladesh and no less here in India during those dark days of Partition. What was true of Islamic persecution during East Pakistan days (1947--71) was true post 1971 and has been true till date under the guise of secular democracy and in an undisguised brazen way as well post the end of Sheikh Hasina's rule in 2024. 'Joy Bangla' has attracted liberal Bangladeshis in large numbers for long and does so even today but the number of such liberals have been a minuscule for long and are near non-existent today. Bangladesh is de facto an Islamic state and will become legally so like its 56 other sister states across the world before long as the exodus of Hindus and other minorities nears completion. Till then the facade of 'Joy Bangla' will continue with Islamic operations carrying on behind it till the facade is required no more. Mujib was the right-hand man of Husseyn Shaheed Sohrawardy, his accomplished accomplice in engineering Islamic murderous misdeeds against the Hindus. If this be their best illustration of tolerance, secularism and liberalism, what may be expected from the rest of Bangladesh who wield power either from the political platform or from the political pulpit. Islam after all, it must be remembered, is a political ideology in religious mask aimed at domination of the world. Period! đ Hindu!
Sugata Bose@Reata Kal : Islamophobia is a clever ploy designed to silence criticism of Islam. At any rate fear of Islam is legitimate, given its violent agenda, ways and means. Hence, it is not a phobia which means the irrational and unwarranted fear of something. Islamophobia is, thus, a misnomer that serves the political agenda of the utopian red-green combine.
Sugata Bose@Sulekha Basu : Any creative interpretation is welcome, and you are always creative. Your way of putting it is certainly valid.
Sugata Bose@Ujjal Kumar Ghosh : Fight or flight to keep up the fight like Rash Behari Bose. Waging a war of ideas as well to defeat the foe ideologically and making his flimsy edifice sink into the sand.
Sugata Bose@Rajendra Kundu : Terrorist ideology. As far as terror states are concerned nearly all major powers would require close scrutiny.
Sugata Bose@Swami Bhavatmananda : Disgusting effeminacy utterly disliked by Swamiji. Monastics owing lineage to such an illustrious masculine preceptor who had in his twilight years declared, "My message can be summed up in one word---manhood", ought to reflect on their heritage in this regard and alter attributes and action in accordance. [Reference: monks effeminately dancing to the tune of an effeminate kÄĢrtan at MÄyer BÄri]
Sugata Bose @Vishwaprasad Sediyapu : That will be better than the law of an arbitrary absolutist God, the dark invention of man barely emerging from tribalism.
Sugata Bose @Shankar Kumar Chatterjee : Missed the century but great batting. Bravo!
Sugata Bose @Shankar Kumar Chatterjee : I know. Batting it at hockey. You are an expert hockey player, juggling here with the stick like Ronaldinho does with his magical feet at the football. That you retain this youthful vigour at this age does prove Sukumar Ray right that age after 40 goes backward. Glory unto you and further regression in years, not in experience!
Sugata Bose @Pk Ray : Pray but keep the powder ready.
Sugata Bose @Gerald J Bennis : You are erudite. Keep educating people about Islam. It is the imperative of the hour.
Sugata Bose @Yusuf Desai I am not laughing. I am wondering how you can be so ignorant about the text of your scriptures. God bless you for you are divine like all are, and you most of all, for your native goodness that has not yet been sullied by corrosive scriptural verses that have infected the minds of hundreds of millions for well over a millennium and devastated civilisations the world over. And now you say that it was all done in the name of peace, that it was all peaceful with no compulsion attending it. Bravo! Fantasy has its limits.
P.S. Your surname suggests that you are or were a SanÄtani which latter case you sure were, perhaps converted to the faith which perchance you now vouch for. I request you to read 'The Complere Works of Swami Vivekananda' with veneration and you will be greatly benefited, brother.

WHEN BLOCKING BECOMES IMPERATIVE ON A STICKY DOG OF A WICKET, HOBBS-SUTCLIFFE STYLE, OR NEARER HOME A LA GAVASAKAR
WHEN BLOCKING BECOMES IMPERATIVE ON A STICKY DOG OF A WICKET, HOBBS-SUTCLIFFE STYLE, OR NEARER HOME, A LA GAVASKAR
After attempting lengthy rationalisation in a civil manner without success and with undue wastage of time and energy, I resorted to that unfortunate means of blocking two irritating observers whose paucity of understanding of the purport of my posts and responses to their comments thereof prompted them to launch personal attacks against me along typically deflected lines. Henceforth, I shall not tolerate such nonsensical remarks and shall resort to this quick recourse to carry on with my work of awakening public consciousness about contentious matters unimpeded.

MESSAGES GALORE ... 126
MESSAGES GALORE ... 126
1. Spirituality is movement from the Alone to the Alone through a million manifestations of material company that nonetheless do not last forever.
2. This Atman is self-revealing. None else knows It.
3. Rammohun gave his life for the country and how well he has been forgotten by the ungrateful recipients of his grace.
4. Great souls are grateful. Ingratitude is betrayal. And ingratitude citing busyness in work is so common among little men and women. The unfeeling heart!
5. Even love is trade?
6. Life is a rare opportunity to love Thakur and to live in Him. Do not squander it in idle pastimes. Love from childhood or whenever the Guru graces.
7. Creativity in abundant measure approaches God.
8. How deeply man loves his unreal self!
9. Awards and accolades are futile if character be not built. Upon the richness of the heart depends the worth of a person. Love your way to bliss.
10. The wakeful soul awakens others. JÄgte raho!
11. It is a 'pain' to be bereft of company for endless stretches of time which is why 'Yo ekoham bahushyÄm.' [I am One, I wish to be Many.]
12. How much of heart we can put in communication, in work, in worship, adoration et al marks the measure of that refined attribute called love before which even God bows down as Krishna did before RÄdhÄ when he bent low to appease the aggrieved beloved and win her back to her pristine mood of blissful loving union.
13. Routine messages are assuring no doubt but in terms of inducing boredom, they are a killer. Creativity sparks off the fire in man.
14. The busy can never love. The loving are never busy. Materialism masks its methods in a million garbs.
15. Revise or remain a fool all life.
16. Guru's grace is everything. Realise!
17. Sanskrit is not a dead language. It is the very life of BhÄratvarsha. Study Sanskrit to know your motherland. Study Vivekananda alongside.
18. I spend my ruddy drops writing. But how many read?
19. Life is more than a business deal, much more.
20. Of what use is education if it makes mercenaries of men?
21. In the name of Ramakrishna they renounced. Now they have renounced Ramakrishna himself.
22. āϝে āĻāĻĻāϰ্āĻļেāϰ āĻāύ্āϝ āϤ্āϝাāĻ, āϏেāĻ āĻāĻĻāϰ্āĻļāĻ āϤ্āϝাāĻ āĻāϰāϞে āĻāϰ āϰāĻāϞāĻা āĻি ?
23. Most are dead to the higher life. Few even know of it. Those that do, care not to pursue it. Men wallow in the material mire of life.
24. How people are in love with their fleshly form!
25. Awake at last. Kumbhakarna has risen.
26. āĻাāĻĄ়ী āĻāϰ্āϤে āĻĒāĻĄ়েāĻে | āĻাāĻĄ়ীāĻে āϤুāϞāϤে āĻšāĻŦে | āĻāϏুāύ, āĻšাāϤ āϞাāĻাāĻ | āĻিāύ্āϤু āϝাঁāϰা āĻāϰ্āϤāĻে āĻļিāϰোāϧাāϰ্āϝ āĻāϰেāĻেāύ, āϤাঁāĻĻেāϰ āϏāĻŽ্āĻŦāύ্āϧে āĻāϰ āĻি āĻŦāϞা āϝাā§ ?
27. What Thakur practised was meta-Islam and not Islam. For three days he became a meta-Muslim and not Muslim. In it there was neither apostasy nor heresy. This is the future of religion and humanity which he in his temporal location then apprehended in advance for posterity to follow.
28. Stand on your own feet, not on borrowed crutches.
29. The problem of the harmony of faiths lies in fanatically following the dictates of erring scriptures rather than relying on personal spiritual experience post practising prolonged perfect purity.
30. No faith should say that it alone is true.
31. Love, the panacea of all evil.
32. There is work at hand and no time to waste. Act!
33. A free soul has all the time in the world. Time cannot shackle him nor duty. We works in freedom, the master of time.
34. Cowardice it is when one compromises with evil.
35. Revelation needs rationalisation for its veracity.
36. Be intense. Vagueness gains not the aspired end.
37. As dawn sets in, hope springs high in the healing heart. It is blissful bird-like, chirping in their perch, just woken from their nocturnal slumber.
38. The life of the Spirit is one of endless love.
39. Can't people intensify more? Vagueness dilutes, misses the mark. It is concentration that kills the demon of ignorance and sets one free.
40. One set comes in, another exits. The eternal procession is on, men marching through the stage of this world. Ephemeral appearance of the Eternal.
41. Inconstancy is the bane of both material and spiritual life. Progress needs focus, massive concentration on the means to achieve the aspired end.
42. The worst enemy of man is absence of commitment.
43. Revise constantly if you wish to have vision.
44. When brothers meet over long distances after lengthy stretches of time, the result is pure bliss. Early affections die hard. Love sustains life. ❤️
45. The trivialities of life engage us so that we fail to apprehend the purpose of life, far less achieve it.
46. Is it possible that such a vast impersonal universe with its intricate mechanisms is run by a Personal God? And there are countless such universes.
47. When you break a word, you fail a relation.
48. Even spirituality is up for sale?
49. Where money is, Thakur is not.
50. From the Unmanifest through the Manifest to the Unmanifest is the movement of man.
51. Be confident about yourself and you will work wonders.
52. Success kisses the doorstep of the peaceful.
53. Peace means embracing all as one's own.
54. Exclusiveness is opposed to peace.
55. Bathe in the Ramakrishna Ganga and be pure.
56. The Hindu does not worship the landmass of India as God. The Hindu worships its Spirit which manifests as the motherland. Vande MÄtaram!
57. An idea grips mankind, then enslaves it. Break free and stand in the clear sunshine of reason and truth.
58. Body we are not. We have a body. Mind we are not. We have a mind. Soul we are not. We have a soul. We are the infinite ÄtmÄ that is existence itself.
59. From strength to strength you shall move. Arise!
60. Meditate on the lifestory of Ramakrishna.
61. Depth × Spread = Volume. This is Ramakrishna math.
62. Do not insult others in gross or subtle way.
63. Truthfulness goes far in building character.
64. You will get back the treatment you give to others.
65. Heaven is good but freedom (mukti) is best.
66. Jews all over the world must be protected. They contribute so much to the world, yet face the worst violence. Modern science owes so much to the Jews. Save the Jews from persecution. Resist antisemitism. đ
67. Religion must undergo critical scrutiny.
68. Is it not a supremacist attitude to convert?
69. Waste time now and repent later. Awake!
70. Be established in God-consciousness by studying Ramakrishna-Vivekananda literature heavily.
71. Diversity is the law of life. Religious exclusiveness and divine totalitarianism are utterly antihuman and detrimental to human evolution.
72. Those who keep you waiting teach you patience.
73. Those who break their word teach you detachment.
74. Reading 'The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna' 12 years uninterrupted awakens BrahmajnÄn." ~ Swami BrahmÄnanda.
75. The ways of the world are endless and endless are the ways to God. To posit that one religion alone is true and to force it on all is madness.
76. āĻ āϧ্āϝā§āĻŖে āĻ āĻ্āϰāĻāϤি āĻāϧ্āϝাāϤ্āĻŽিāĻāϤাāϰ āĻā§োāĻāύ | āϤাāĻ āϏ্āĻŦাāϧ্āϝাā§েāϰ āĻāĻĒāϰ āĻāϤ āĻোāϰ |

79. Religiosity is not necessarily spirituality.
80. Act today or suffer tomorrow.
81. The erstwhile colonised are now becoming colonisers. A kÄrmic reversal of history?
82. Islam allows polygamy, not polyandry. Equality of the sexes, eh?
83. You must contribute something to the nation. Not in a self-serving way but to help rebuild this much-molested motherland of ours.
84. Repeatedly I say, "Read Vivekananda." Listen to me if you care for the motherland. Else, pretend not patriotism. Our revolutionaries studied Swamiji.
85. Lives the one who loves the Lord animate in all.
86. Courtiousness must not be read as cowardice.
87. One is miserliness of money, the other of attitude, that of narrowness of spirit, the inability to support whole-heartedly a worthy cause.
88. Britain reaping the dividend of their 'Divide and Rule' policy now as experiment in alien lands reaches home in fullest sway.
89. Destruction of others' lands by infection reaches home. UK in disarray. Civilisation in peril yet again. The house of man is never safe it seems.
90. Europe in disarray as cultural invasion is in full sway.
91. The great migration is on. Europe in disarray.
92. How long will denouncing critics of Islam as being Islamophobic shield it from critical scrutiny? In this day and age of information revolution can such tactics work for long? The doctrine of Islam is out there in the open for all to read, reflect on and realise its implications.
93. Inordinately high intelligence is a rare commodity. It must always be activated to one's defence and to fostering human welfare.
94. When line changes, life changes too. Stay put.
95. Return to ancestral roots. Conserve culture.
96. Convert not others from PhD to Montessori class.
97. Time passes by. Life flows on. Hold onto the permanent and not the fleeting fancies of the hour.
98. If there be a vision, be it thy divinity.
99. Arms cannot win. Ideas must combat ideas.
100. Noble ideas are more precious than jewels.
101. Thoughts make civilisation. Learn to think.
102. Confront evil. Do not conpromise.

110. Let us not reduce life to so much commerce. It is much more than that. A true businessman would know the real value of life.
111. Subterranean currents shape human history, the subliminal consciousness of man. There work has to be done to ensure world peace.
112. Concentrate on the works of the geniuses that India has produced. One such was Satyajit Ray.
113. You are divine. Let there be no doubt about it.
114. Doctrines are nothing. Experience your divinity.
115. Sleep is meditation, Montessori level.
116. Life goes on life after life. Reincarnation is real. The Abrahamic religions have got it wrong. The SanÄtan Dharma and its derivates are right.
117. Where musicality is a feature in everyday life, there harmony holds. Symmetry is the hallmark of beauty. And beauty is simplicity, truth.
118. UK is experiencing the retribution of karma. 'VinÄshkÄley viparÄĢt buddhi.' Unless she awakes fast, her destiny is sealed in equal reaction to deeds done.
119. Back yourself. Let not the world beat you down.
120. Upon you, my young friends, lies the fate of civilisation. Awake to your sense of purpose and discharge your duties, invigorated, inspired, invincible.
121. The darkening sky reveals the stars. Fear not the dark that has enveloped you. Starlight soon will light up your path. Light, light, everywhere!
122. The fool fights, not the philosopher. He sees the wave as the sea, the crust as core, circumference centre. The dust to him is divine. đ Shanti đ
123. Man is not flesh and form but is the Spirit Divine.
124. The apparent man you are not. You are the Real Man---God. In samÄdhi you will experience this truth, satyasya satyam, the truth of truths.
125. The demographic war is being lost. The ideological war must be won and reconversion root out evil.
126. Countless cases testify to rebirth. Self-experience, however, dispels doubt. Dive deep into memory and you will see your past.
127. Today's friends are yesterday's associates.
128. Tomorrow will roll back to yesterday. Cyclical time runs, oscillates, freezes unto freedom, the zeroing in of phenomena unto the Self-conscious Core.
129.
Cheat not to earn.
Your merits thus burn.
130. May the hurt mind be the great source of healing to others! One lives in all. Kindred spitits flock as memories dormant spring anew to forge fresh friendships.
131. Be not on the side of lies. Truth pays off better.
132. For this flimsy world of no consequence man forsakes his freedom. Deluded by desires he leads a despicable life till death alters his misery.
133. Heed not heartless atheistic intellectuals denouncing religion as superstition. They are themselves slaves to the senses. What know they of the Spirit?
134. Little learning darkens the soul, obscures vision of the Spirit. Great learning deepens thought, suspends judgement, checks caustic criticism of culture rolling down millenia of richly lived experience. Reformers by their denunciation of the common man's culture ruin civilisation more than they create it. Art, literature, music are good, but they are all inferior to the deep devotion that runs in the common man's blood, his impulses, inspiration, insights, his religion, his soul. đ
135. If you wish to be a real man, a real woman, read VivekÄnanda. His words are of great strength, purity and light.
136. Let not a little bit of reason feed your vanity so much as to denounce religious practices in common currency as so much superstition. Dive deeper.
137. The common man is wiser than the atheist intellectual attempting to illumine him. His simplicity reaches into Reality deeper than his mentor's reason.
138. Bengali 'intellectuals' should dedicate themselves to lifelong study of VivekÄnanda so that their characters are built up duly.
139. Ramakrishna Mission should propagate the life and works of VivekÄnanda far more. It is our civilisational imperative.
140. Give up your colonised mentality & train yourselves to be thoroughly Indian.Base imitation of alien cultures does not conduce to national well-being.
141. Why allow money to dictate terms to you? Reject the copper coin. Affirm the sovereignty of the Self. You are God. Must you chase matter?
142. How few value life! They value diamond instead.
143. Genetic potential needs effort for fulfilment.
144. Gene is of the body, tendency of the mind.
145. Lying is a persistent habit. Get rid of it.
146. Education has become a hop, skip and jump mockery.
147. When life is there, value it. Soon the curtains will go down and the swansong sung. Brood not. Work out your own salvation.
148. When frustration in work creeps in, be detached.
149. Man is not the body but lives within the body, a bound soul, and lives beyond, a soul unfettered, free.
150. Bound souls everywhere, nor conscious nor seeking freedom.
151. Memory springs from the depths of the soul of a life gone by, who knows if ever to rerurn?

154. Wisdom is when bereft you are of all sustenance.
155. Symmetry is the soul of art that is beauty.
156. The whole of human life is fraught with ignorance. Awake to the truth within. Work your way towsrds it. Smash the delusive dream of desires. Unbind.
157.
We live in Mother,
We die in Mother.
Mother, Mother, everywhere!
158. What are these faces around? You see yourself in the mirror of life.
159. For some life is eternal merriment, for some others untold misery. Each burns the wax of life in his own way. The endoint is the same for all---light.
160. If you wish to be great, look beyond triflles.
161. Value life. Spend it fruitfully gathering light.
162. Love alone can ensure peace and bliss thereof.
163. Send positive vibrations across the world. Peace!
164. Do not get caught in the web of words. Just love.
165. Read Romain Rolland's biographical studies of Ramakrishna and Vivekananda. They are literally literary symphonies. They will transform you.
166. Do not fall at the feet of every ochre-donner masquerading as monk. Have a semblance of self-respect. Too much adulation is getting to their heads.
167. The more culture is democratised without unduly diluting it, the better. Principle, not personality, must be the focal point of discussion. SraddhÄ must not reduce to slovenly adulation devoid of self-respect, a refusal to engage in critical scrutiny of traditional teachings that have now largely become traditional trappings of thought thwarting the forward movement of man. May man be freed from futile fetters and permitted the privilege of self-stancing in thought and action that does not harm others unduly!
