THE  FORGOTTEN FLOWERS OF FRAGRANCE

THE  FORGOTTEN FLOWERS OF FRAGRANCE

There are those who are in politics, yet do not aspire for position, power or glory. They seek to serve and love the motherland, no more. But they are in the bottom rungs of the political hierarchy, some selfless cadres, some common servants of the people who are there even in the political realm, as dispersal of goodness, purity and selflessness are as wide as the world is. But such ones do not claim anything, nor name nor fame nor position nor power, but pass into the nothingness whence they had sprung, having done their deed like the dewdrop at dawn and nourished earth's best to come into future fruition. It is these that are the salt of the earth and it is these that have built civilisation down the ages out of their blood, sweat and toil while the limelight has been stolen by their leaders who wielded all the power, being but powered by these powerless ones. But oblivion or no oblivion, it is these sacrificial souls that are nearest to Mother, the Mother who has incarnated Herself in localised terrestrial terms as the motherland and as mother earth in more universal terms. Glory unto these forgotten ones, these fairest flowers of humanity! They live, these unchronicled ones, as the unseen chroniclers of history.
