You may do yourself a favour this day. Take time off to be with yourself and dive deep within to find a friend who has been in patient wait to hear from you for God knows how long.
Selfishness is best served by selflessness for, after all, the former is geared to serving self-interest and the latter serves that purpose the best. So, be unselfish. It is good for health, wealth, relationships and for social well-being.
Turn away from indolence and take up the act that will transform you and your situation towards a better end. Transmute emotions, sublimate them till you feel no reaction of pain in offering love. Let life be an oblation in the cosmic ceremonial sacrifice.
Life is but a waking dream or a dreaming wakefulness. Transcend the senses to awake to the Reality beyond.
Every action will bear its inevitable fruit; none can escape the Law of Karma save those who have touched the Infinite. And even they have to bear the consequences of earthly action of saving fallen souls from sin (ignorance).
When the call comes to depart from this world, let us be ready to go without a look behind, for the lingering longing can scarce be met with fruition at the point of death. Let us prepare every moment for the great departure with the constant recollection of God.
If work is inescapable, let us work in the spirit of service, serve in the spirit of worship and worship in the spirit of pure love for the divine in ourselves and in others. Let us thus realise the oneness of all that is.
When the mind reverts to material things, focus it on the love within, zero in onto yourself. Self-containment thus practised, self-realisation will one day be and the ephemeral world will drop off. Then freedom will be and fulfilment with it.
Trust not any save the Lord within. All do trade while professing love. It is self-interest all the way.
