1. Truth must be spoken sweet but without diluting content to suit convenience. That would be tantamount to lying.

2. Weak minds go to astrologers. The strong exert themselves to carve out their destiny.

3. Endless are the mercies of God. O man, how can you forget the Lord, the giver of peace and bliss?

4. Total self-surrender to Gurudev alone is the way. These words must be understood deep and attitude set in accordance. A pliable nature is easy to transform, not a hard-set one. Therefore, asolute submission to Gurudev is the imperative for spiritual progress. 🕉

11. গোবিন্দের শরণ নেওয়া কি এত সহজ ? ইন্দ্রিয়ের দাস কি গোবিন্দের শরণাগত হয় ?

12. প্রেমে আনন্দ এলে প্রেমানন্দ হয় | কিন্তু প্রেম কই ? আনন্দই বা কই ? নিছক উচ্ছলতা ত' আনন্দ নয় | শাস্ত্রবচন আওড়ানোও কিছু প্রজ্ঞা নয় | অন্তর্মুখীনতা কই ? শান্ত স্বভাব, নিরভিমান কই ? তর্কে পরাস্ত হওয়ার উপক্রম হলে উত্তেজিত হওয়া ও প্রতিপক্ষকে উচ্চরবে শব্দারম্বে বিধ্বস্ত করার প্রবল প্রয়াস স্থিতপ্রজ্ঞার কেমন লক্ষণ ?

In this inner divinity is peace that passeth understanding. The light shines within, obscured by delusive desire and an extroverted mind which is buffeted by the winds of change and cannot come to rest ever. Reflect. Then seek counsel at the feet of the Guru and by his guiding light walk within to see your Self, the luminous Being who you have forever sought in vain in the world without. 34. হিন্দুদের সাহসী হতে হবে, পড়াশোনা করতে হবে ইতিহাস, জানতে হবে প্রায় ১৪০০ বছর কি সয়েছেন আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষরা বর্বর আরব আক্রমণকারীদের হাতে | শুধু চেঁচামেচি করা দুর্বল চরিত্রের কাজ, শক্তিমান জাতির নয় | ইহুদিরা যেমন রুখে দাঁড়িয়েছে, সেই রকম রুখে দাঁড়াতে হবে | ধর্মাচরণ চাই শক্তিমানের ন্যায়, দুর্বল কাপুরুষৃর ন্যায় নয় | শাস্ত্রপাঠ, ব্রহ্মচর্যপালন , সামরিক শিক্ষাগ্রহণ, সততা, সত্যপরায়ণতা, ত্যাগ, সেবা, স্বাবলম্বন---এই সব গুণাবলি চরিত্রের অঙ্গ করা, সাধু দেখলেই পায়ে লুটিয়ে পড়া নয়, রাজনৈতিক নেতানেত্রীর অথবা ধনবান, প্রতিপত্তিশালীর মোসাহেবী করা নয় | সনাতন ধর্মের প্রতি প্রগাঢ় শ্রদ্ধা, মহাপুরুষের প্রতি পূজার ভাব, প্রতিটি হিন্দুর প্রতি সনানুভূতি, সহায়তা ও সেবার ভাব রক্ষা---এই ভাবে নতুন হিন্দু সমাজ গড়ে তুলতে হবে | সর্বোপরি, ছোটদের সনাতন ঐতিহ্যের ধারকবাহক হওয়ার জন্য উপযুক্ত শিক্ষার দ্বারা গড়ে তুলতে হবে | আর হিন্দুর সংখ্যা যাতে না কমে, তা দেখতে হবে | এর জন্য কোটি কোটি ধর্মান্তরিত হিন্দুকে ইসলাম ও খ্রীষ্টপন্থা হতে সনাতন ধর্মে ফিরিয়ে আনতে হবে |

35. India's greatest strength is her Sanātan Dharm and Sanātan Sanskriti both of which are enshrined in the Devabhāshā Sanskrit. Absence of mass knowledge of this golden language of the gods has prostrated us at the feet of Asurs and Dānavs. The resurrection of Bhāratvarsh must be through the resurrection of the Devabhāshā. 

36. The deluded neglect the Guru. What is it to the Guru who is beyond loss or gain? It is the shishya/shishyā's terrible loss which they are unaware/aware of. 🕉 

37. ভ্রষ্টবুদ্ধি শিষ্যশিষ্যা গুরুকে অবহেলা করেন | তাতে গুরুর কি যিনি লাভক্ষতির ঊর্ধ্বে ? এতে শিষ্যশিষ্যারই ভয়ানক ক্ষতি যে বিষয়ে তাঁরা হয় জ্ঞাত নয় অজ্ঞাত |

39. The Sanātan Dharm must be preserved, propagated and proliferated. In it lies the well-being of the world which till now has been and is being torn apart by non-Vedic cults. It is important to study Sanskrit and the Shāstras. To begin with study 'The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda', all nine volumes thoroughly. I will be holding classes from now on regularly among my known ones.

41. Hindus, unite in defence of the Sanātan Dharm. This is your allotted karm, that is, your dharm. 🕉

Greed is destroying the land. Even spiritual people today are deadly greedy. This is evident from Swami Brahmananda's statement uttered well over a century ago. And the scene in the spiritual world is far worse now. Said the great Abbot of Belur Math, "The householders are turning into renunciates by giving away their hard-earned money. And the monks are becoming attached to enjoyment by taking their money!" Sri Ramakrishna's principle of 'Money is clay, clay money' is being flouted today like never before as if it is no more valid for a spiritual organisation and its functioning in the social sphere. This is loss of spiritual mooring. If this is the state of spiritual life, what of the material in the rest of society where greed is the fuelling force for work and money the presiding deity?

43. Return to the Sanātan Dharm, those of you who have been perverted from it by proselytising Abrahamic faiths for over two millennia.

44. Everything is spiritual in life and beyond. There is nothing secular in life. Secularism is gross materialism but it must evolve with enlightenment into spirituality.

45. Children should be brought up fearless in the light of the Advaita. The Atman is the support of all. Return to roots. 🕉 

46. Those who are living now and those who will be alive in the coming decades, some of them, many quite, may be fortunate to witness the divine sport of the Avatār who is due on earth as per the prophetic assurance of Sri Ramakrishna.

47. হালকামি বন্ধ করুন | গম্ভীর, গভীর হ'ন | কোন' বক্তৃতা চলাকালীন কথায় কথায় হাততালি দেবেন না | ওতে বক্তব্য অন্তরে প্রবেশ হয় না যা বক্তার মূল অভিপ্রায় | তাঁর ভাবসংবাহন ব্যর্থ হয় |

48. যাঁরা হিন্দু ও হিন্দুধর্ম রক্ষার কাজে ব্রতী, নিজের ছবির বিজ্ঞাপন দেন না শ্রীশ্রীমায়ের মেয়েরূপে ধর্মের আবরণে ঢেকে, যাঁরা অবিদ্যামায়ার অতিরিক্ত প্রয়োগ করেন না, তাঁদেরই ফেসবুকে বন্ধুরূপে গণ্য করি | বিস্তর হতাদর্শ মৌন দর্শক না রেখে স্বল্পসংখ্যক আদর্শবাদী সাহসী সহচর-সহচরী রাখাই কাম্য বলে বোধ করি |

49. স্বামীজীর স্বদেশমন্ত্রটি প্রত্যহ পাঠ করুন, কন্ঠস্থ করুন | তবে ত' স্বধর্মপ্রীতি, স্বদেশপ্রেম জাগবে, সনাতন সংস্কৃতি রক্ষা পাবে |

50. Gupta is to be pronounced Gupt, Mitra Mitr, Mishra Mishr, Dutta Dutt, Shukla Shukl, Krishna Krishn, Rama Ram, Sanātana Sanātan, Dharma Dharm, Karma Karm, Yoga Yog etc. and not in the reverse way that is rampant.

54. Once Buddhists formed two-third of the population of the Indian subcontinent. Then the Sanātan civilisation in its full bloom was reestablished in the region by the pioneering movement initiated by Ādi Shankarāchārya. In a like manner today Islam claims the allegiance of one-third of the subcontinental population. The Sanātan Dharm faces a challenge yet again and it will have to rise to the occasion again to reclaim Punyabhumi Bhāratvarsh. Who will lead the movement this time? Swami Vivekananda? Incidentally both Ādi Shankarāchārya and Swami Vivekananda are incarnations of Bhagavān Shiv.

55. Hindus must en masse study Sanskrit. This is possible only if Sanskrit is made compulsory in the curricula at the school, college and university levels. The whole country must be Sanskritised. Then and then alone India will truly rise to claim her Vishvaguru status and duly become Bhāratvarsha in truth again.

56. When will Swami Rāmbhadrāchārya go to meet Swami Premānand Govind Sharan at his kunj in Vrindāvan? The meeting will be momentous.

62. রাষ্ট্রভাষায় রচনা করতে গিয়ে ব্যাকরণবিপত্তিতে বিষম পতন | পুনঃ মাতৃভাষায় প্রত্যাবর্তন | 'রেখো মা দাসেরে কোলে ... |'

63. Resist the conversion of Hindus to Christians and Muslims. Hindus, be alert, be active. 🕉 Hindu!

64. Renunciation is the soul of the Vedanta. Service is its active associate. "Renunciation and service are the twin national ideals," said Swami Vivekananda. "Intensify her in those channels and the rest will take care of itself." Our duty is to do that. That is our dharm. Along with it we must send preachers to carry the grand message of the Sanātan Dharm to every corner of the world so that 'Tamaso ma jyotirgamaya.' (The world may move from dispelled darkness to dawning light, the light of the Ātman!) 🕉

66. বক্রবুদ্ধি কি ভগবানকে পায় ? সরলতা চাই | অকপট, নিরভিমান, পূর্ণশরণাগত | গুরুকৃপায় সব সম্ভব | তবে গুরুকে শ্রদ্ধা করা চাই ভগবতবৎ | অবশ্য, জড়বাদী নাস্তিক কি বুঝবে ? সে ত' ভগবানকেই মানে না, গুরু ত' কা কথা !

75. যতদিন না প্রতিটি বাঙালী যুবক-যুবতী স্বামীজীর বাণী ও রচনা নিত্য পাঠ ও তাঁর উপদেশাবলী সেইমত অনুশীলন করবে, ততদিন এ জাতি তার বর্তমান পতিত অবস্থা থেকে উদ্ধার পাবে না | দুর্ভাগ্যের বিষয় হল এই যে বামপন্থা শিক্ষা দেওয়ার অনেক শিক্ষক আছেন কিন্তু বিবেকানন্দবোধ জাগ্রত করার আজ প্রায় একটি আচার্যও নেই | স্বামীজী তাই প্রবাদবাক্য উলটো করে বলতেন, "চেলা মিলে লাখে লাখ, গুরু না মিলে এক |" আজ সত্য সত্যই সেই অবস্থা | স্বামীজীর আদর্শ কেউই প্রায় পালন করেন না | ফলে প্রচার ত' প্রায় হয়ই না তাঁর আর, যতটুকু হয়, তার দ্বারা কোন' কাজ হয় না | বৈরাগ্যবান, তপস্বী সাধু যেমন অল্পবয়সে দেখেছি, তার অভাবে আজ আর কারও কথা মনে ধরে না | শুধু সেবার্থে অর্থসংগ্রহই যেন এখন মূল সাধনা | ঠাকুর-স্বামীজী আজ ব্রাত্য | যুবক-যুবতীরা তাই স্বামীজীর পূত সঙ্গলাভে বঞ্চিত | সমাজের শোধন প্রয়োজন | তবেই কাজ হবে | হয়ত প্রতিশ্রুতিমত অবতারের পুনরাবির্ভাবের দ্বারাই তা সম্ভব হবে, সঙ্ঘটিত হবে | স্বামীজীর কাল হতে পঞ্চম ও ষষ্ঠ প্রজন্ম দেশের ভাগ্য পরিবর্তন করবে---এমনই ভবিষ্যদ্বাণী স্বামীজীর | তাই হ'ক তবে | তাই বলে হাত গুটিয়ে বসে থাকলে ত' হবে না | সমাজকে প্রস্তুত করতে হবে | সেই কাজেই ব্রতী | সেই কাজেই নিরত রব |

76. The greatest damage to Hindus has been the conversion of Hindus to Islam and Christianity. Reconversion must redress this problem.

77. Gurus should guide and not fleece the shishya-shishyās. Today commerce is corrupting the spiritual course.

78. From the poor response to my posts I can understand how callous and cowardly the bulk of Bengali Hindus have become to their fate which is in precipitous fall. 82. Life is so uncertain. Hurry on, my soul, and reveal thyself. Any moment the breath may fail. Lest it does, hurry on. Ramakrishna!

83. Be satisfied with what you have. There is no satiation in having more as there is no end to having nor can material possessions satisfy the spiritual self which you are. What you do now determines your future. Finite aspiration and labour in pursuit lead to finite result, never the Infinite to possess which is the secret desire. Labour but labour in love. Work but work as worship. Dream but dream the Divine. Renounce the little for the 'Bhūmā' (the Infinite). Give up little delight for limitless bliss. Serve to be happy. Be happy to serve. Everything is Spirit. Worship all all around. 🕉

84. With every breath chant, with every breath love. What else is there to achieve on earth, the pilgrimage of the soul, where karma resolves to nought even unto the divine end?

85. How many can say, ''Mere toh Giridhar Gopal, dusro na koyi''? Yet, all must say it one day. 

86. When through countless lives a million desires have in pleasure and pain been met, when the hollowness of this delusive dream of desire and delight and death in chase have been seen through once and for all, when the semi-satiation of earthly thirst has led the soul to quit the sands and seek the sea that hides the bed, then the soul's been readied for the dive within, for love to dawn upon the one. Such a one of harvest reaped and seeds unsown will the rest renounce to break the flow and seek within what lies in wait. Such a one of chastened soul and tranquil mind will brood on Me, the Lord of love, so sayeth the Lord. Whosoever shall love Me, shall liberated be, so sayeth the Lord, the Lord of love. ❤️

87. Our children must be taught the Ramāyan and the Mahābhārat and that too in both Sanskrit and the vernacular. Such sublimity of thought, such high idealism, such depth of philosophy, high morality, such flight of spirituality, such love, where else in the world will they get? 🕉 

88. A true Guru teaches religion free. Those that commercialise religious teaching flout foundational principles of the Sanātan Dharm.

89. Fraudulent gurus galore are operating freely, minting millions while fooling people in the name of high-sounding spiritual principles which they themselves do not practise but use to good personal profit-making effect. It is, thus, imperative that the Ramakrishna Mission goes on a war-footing in their propagation programme, much like Swamiji wanted, that aggressive missionary zeal which the founding Āchārya of the Ramakrishna Mission had aspired for, hopefully not in vain.

90. Organised conversion is spiritual seduction.

91. As I get to know more and more of the common people of Bhāratvarsh, I am filled with joy to behold the simplicity of their spiritual nature and with sadness at their plight thereof on so many counts. Wish to see them safe and sound, happy in their lives as they give so much and seek so little, yet face such misery heaped on them by an unjust society that needs redress. May Bhāratabhāgyavidhātā bless these beautiful folks, my sisters and brothers, my daughters and sons, my mothers and fathers who fill up our beautiful motherland, Punyabhumi Bhāratvarsh!

92. We have to spread the broad universal principles of the Upanishads to all and sundry to arrive at an exploitation-free divine society.

মানুষের জীবনের উদ্দেশ্য ঈশ্বরলাভ | এই চলার পথে শ্রীগুরুদেবভগবান একমাত্র সাক্ষাৎ সহায় | অদৃশ্য শ্রীভগবানের সাকার শ্রীরূপ গুরুদেব | তাঁর নির্দেশে শিষ্যাকে চলতে হয় এই দুর্গম পথে যা উপনিষদ ক্ষুরের ন্যায় ধারালো ও সঙ্কীর্ণরূপে বর্ণনা করেছেন | যে কোন মুহূর্তে পতন সম্ভব পর্বতের খাদের একেবারে তলে | জ্ঞানমার্গে এ বিপদের সম্ভাবনা অনেক বেশি | তাই ভক্তিমার্গ এ যুগে সাধারণের জন্য সুদীর্ঘ কিন্তু অপেক্ষাকৃত আরাপ্রদ সুগম পথ | কলিতে নারদীয় ভক্তি | কলিতে নামের খুব মাহাত্ম্য | গুরুপ্রদত্ত মহামন্ত্র জপে ইষ্টসিদ্ধি | গুরু মন্ত্রারূঢ়, অর্থাৎ, মন্ত্রের ওপর চড়ে বসে আছেন | মন্ত্র তাঁর বাহন | এই মন্ত্রই আবার 🕉কার ধ্বনিরূপ ঈশ্বর হতে উৎপন্ন,পরিশেষে সমাধিপূর্বে 🕉কারেই বিলয় | তখন গুরু ইষ্টে বিলীন হয়ে প্রতিপন্ন হবে যে ঈশ্বরই গুরুরূপে এতদিন সাথে সাথে ছিলেন, আজ সেই গুরুরূপ তার ঈশ্বরীয় স্বরূপে বিলীন হয়ে এক হল | শিষ্যা এই দর্শনে গুরুতত্ত্ব ও ঈশ্বরতত্ত্ব উভয়ই বোধ করে ধন্যা হন | কিন্তু এ ত' অন্তিমের কথা | তার আগে ত' সাধনমার্গে দীর্ঘ পথপরিক্রমণ | সেই পথে বাধাবিপত্তিতে শঙ্কিত, ভীত না হয়ে বীরাঙ্গনার ন্যায় এগিয়ে যাওয়ার ঋষিপ্রদত্ত এই আহ্বানই 'চরৈবেতি' |

94. আমাদের দেশের সাধারণ মানুষ কী সরল বিশ্বাসী ! দেখে মুগ্ধ হতে হয় | দুঃখও হয় এঁদের পার্থিব দুর্দশা দেখে | সনাতন ধর্মের কী অপূর্ব প্রভাব এঁদের ওপর এত সহস্র বর্ষ ধরে | এঁদের উপযুক্ত শিক্ষা দিতে পারলে আমাদের দেশ বিশ্বগুরুর পদে যথার্থ উন্নীত হতে পারবে | এখন এই উপাধি নামমাত্র | কিন্তু সনাতন ধর্মে ও আধুনিক জ্ঞানবিজ্ঞানে সর্বসাধারণ সুশিক্ষিত হলে তা যথাযথ হবে |

95. Attachment and aversion (rāgdvesh) forsaken, the aspirant meramorphoses to a realised soul. The freedom found from fetters was forever there, only to be uncovered, not created. Thus, all motion is from freedom to freedom and through freedom hallucinating thus far as fettered finity when in truth it never was in bond bound nor in bondage borne but was ever in freedom afloat in the Holy Trinity (Brahmā-Vishnu-Mahesh) and in transcendent peace in the One Beyond. 🕉

96. To see oneself in all and all in oneself is the goal of the spiritual path, its divine destination. 🕉

97. To be independent of external help and to seek only self-support within is the sign of the spiritual. They rest in the Ishta and none else. Such absolute inner absorption is their consuming characteristic and the bedrock of their character forged in pure gold. Their undying concentration frees them of earthly bondage as fetters fall to release them unto the One within. 🕉

98. Lapse of memory is a serious spiritual fault which must never be. Unbroken, uninterrupted memory of the Divine, the least forgetfulness bringing intensest misery, is the sign of the bhakta whose soul has been coloured by the heavenly hue which in spectral band encompasses his/her vision. 🕉

99. The realised soul releases. Sometimes the Divine appears on the human horizon and takes the aspirant across the sea of delusion. Few, few alas, recognise him, fewer still respond. While the earthly play or leelā lasts, the minstel band, they sing and dance, then in a trice depart for their divine abode while the clay-caught pine and pine for vision. Then on a dewy dawn the graceful one appears in shining form to lift the soul that had pined, so pined, for the union divine, for the union divine. Then all is bliss and all is joy and all delight in ecstacy. 🕉

100. Let not for a moment the memory lapse of your Lord, your God, your One Divine. Live in unbroken memory, in unbroken bliss. 🕉 

101  There is a life that breathless is beyond the form in breath so bound. 🕉

102. হস্তামলক ছিলেন শঙ্করাচার্যের শিষ্য | হস্তে ছিল তাঁর আমলকিবৎ ব্রহ্ম |

103. 'Best of luck!' is not an appropriate well-wishing in kārmic terms. It ought to be 'Best of effort. Now best of effect!'

103. Spirituality is the science of the Spirit. It has no relation to ritualistic rigidity.

104. This body is the mansion of the Divine, the mind a subset of waves of the Cosmic Mind. Know yourself to be one with the Divine and feel strong in that abiding belief, that conviction which is called fertile faith. Know yourself to be floating on the Gangā of spirituality whose Brahmabāri (the water of Brahman) at once absorbs all sins and cleanses the body and the mind. Purification thus achieved through daily spiritual practice and incessant remembrance of the Divine in turn leads one to the Divine, thence to the Ātman which the aspirant in essence is. Memory is meditation and constant memory, purified and perfected, the cause of attainment of Ātmajnān which is the summum bonum of all spirituality. 🕉

105. Build your life round your spiritual ideal and be happy. 

106. Humility means absence of ego. The ego blocks the vision of the Divine. Tears of love for Bhagavān dissolves the ego and prepares the aspirant for His vision. The humble soul in complete submission to the will of his Ishtadevatā is blessed with His vision.

107. মন্তব্য করেন যখন কোন প্রতিবেদনে, তা প্রতিবেদনসাপেক্ষ করুন, মাত্র সংশ্লিষ্ট প্রতিচ্ছবির জয়গান নয় |

108. বাক্যরক্ষা করতে হয় | নইলে ভগবানলাভ হয় না |

109. ঠাকুরের ভাল প্রচারক নেই যিনি কিনা সঙ্ঘস্বার্থ ও ব্যক্তিস্বার্থ বহির্ভূত হয়ে তাঁর কথা যথাযথভাবে উপস্থাপন করতে সক্ষম |

110. He never leaves who never leaves Him. In constancy of concentration is the concentrated Presence.

111. Love is the honeyed essence of Truth.

112. Love, raised and sublimated, in concentrated essence is spirituality of the highest order. Such is the substance of the 'madhur bhāv'.

113. My love is my worship. 

114. Do not spoil your life by drinking.

115. Our Sanātan ideal of life is infinitely superior to Abrahamic corresponding ideals. Shree Rām gave up his throne for his brother Bharat while Aurangzeb beheaded his brother Dārā to ascend the throne. What a contrast! Umpteen instances may be cited to prove the point but the one presented is proof enough.

যাঁর কৃপায় ভক্ত ভগবানকে পান, সেই ভগবতী |

117. Shree Rāmcharitmānas is simply an outstanding piece of spiritual literature with every verse pronouncing the highest wisdom.

118. There is so much suffering in this world that one feels disgusted to listen to assumed sorrow of the indolent. The real sorrow needs redress.

119. Seek of Īshvar that which is highest, Īshvar Himself.

120. জাগতিক উন্নতির খুব প্রয়োজন | নইলে আধ্যাত্মিক উন্নতি অসম্ভব | প্রথমে অভ্যূদয়, পরে নিঃশ্রেয়স |

121. One's ignorance is one's greatest enemy. Learn and come to light. Freedom and strength await you. You are divine. Love all, hurt none. 

122. I am the centre of the universe that I manifest.

123. A drop of love for Thakur will return as a flood of love in your heart.

124. To disrespect, insult, show irreverence to or to neglect one's Guru, be that under whatever pretext and in whatever way, is a grave offence.
